The role

IT Project manager - ADC

As a project manager, you know better than anyone how to respond to our client's needs and you have a sharp eye for discovering opportunities. You ensure good collaboration and know how to maintain an overview. In a large or complex project, it may be that you work under the responsibility of a senior project manager and are assigned a sub-project, but in all cases, you bear the responsibility for your own (sub)project.

As a project manager, building and maintaining relationships is an important skill, whereby you maintain contacts with the client, both at business level and at CxO levels within the IT domains, suppliers, stakeholders, and also Capgemini and your project team(s). You are inspiring to the client and to your team and demonstrate your leadership skills.

You plan and manage your project(s), whereby you monitor the scope and identify and act upon new business opportunities. During execution, you maintain the helicopter view and keep sight of the quality of your products. Additionally, you have a sense for the financial status of your project(s) and manage accordingly.

What are you going to do as an IT Project manager - ADC?

As a project manager, you make an important contribution to digital transformations at leading organizations within, among others, energy & utilities, industries, retail, supply chain, and the public sector. You work on strategic IT issues and form the connecting link between business and technology.

You work closely with clients, developers, architects, business analysts, and consultants. In doing so, you maintain an overview of the progress, quality, finances, and interests of the various stakeholders. Depending on the size and complexity, you will either lead a project independently or be responsible for a sub-project under the responsibility of a senior project manager.

In this role, you will work on:

  • Planning and guiding projects and sub-projects, whereby you manage scope, planning, quality, budget, and financial progress.
  • Digital transformations such as ERP transitions, customer portals, supply chain optimization, cloud solutions, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders at both business and CxO levels.
  • Creating constructive collaboration in which team members know what is expected of them and are given space to apply their expertise.
  • Recognizing new opportunities with clients and translating them into concrete solutions and follow-up activities.

Your profile:

You have:

  • A completed HBO or WO degree and professional mastery of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with project and program planning, project budgeting, and financial management within a cloud or related IT environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile and/or UPM, or the motivation to further certify yourself in these.
  • Strong communication and relational skills, with which you stimulate collaboration, connect interests, and negotiate effectively.
  • The willingness to learn how AI can strengthen your project management expertise and daily activities.

These criteria provide an indication of the profile we are looking for. If you do not meet all the criteria but believe this is the right role for you, we warmly invite you to apply anyway or get in touch.

What do we offer you?

A permanent contract and a suitable salary immediately.
26 vacation days, with the possibility to purchase additional days off.
A contribution to your pension and the possibility to make additional contributions yourself.
A lease car, NS-Business Card, or payment of your travel expenses allowance.
A fast laptop, a SIM card for business and private use, and a connectivity and work-from-home allowance.
Unlimited access to our Academy, certifications, digital learning platforms, and the latest AI training and tools.
Personal coaching by a dedicated people manager and support for your personal and professional growth.
The possibility to share knowledge within expert communities and to further certify yourself in, among others, UPM, IPMA, or PMI.
The chance to apply the latest cloud and AI innovations in projects at leading organizations.

Your work environment

You will become part of the ADC cluster, a group of approximately 100 professionals with expertise in the fields of architecture, delivery excellence, and change. Architects, program and project managers, and change managers work together here on complex transformations.

Within ADC, Delivery Excellence is your professional home base. You work together with colleagues from different backgrounds and experience levels. During knowledge sessions, masterclasses, and peer coaching, you exchange experiences and further develop the project management profession.

You will receive guidance from a people manager who supports you in your personal and professional development. At the same time, you will be given the space to inspire colleagues, share knowledge, and guide others. With the internal project management and certification program, the Capgemini Academy, and external certification opportunities such as IPMA and PMI, you can grow in a targeted manner.

What motivates you?

A passion for project management in which planning, entrepreneurship, and collaboration are central: in this, we challenge you to keep growing. At Capgemini, we are happy to help you with that. We have our own project management method and certification program for project managers. Additionally, we facilitate you in, for example, obtaining external certifications such as IPMA or PMI. With our "All-you-can-train" program and via our Capgemini Academy, you also have access to hundreds of training courses and programs. So tell us your ambitions, and we would love to help you achieve them.
