40 hours per week in Venlo
Canon Manufacturing Consumables produces important components for high-tech printing systems, such as toners and inks, photo guides, and printheads, in its factories. This business unit consists of approximately 350 employees in total, comprising production, maintenance, logistics, production engineering, quality, purchasing, and equipment engineering. As a process operator at Consumables, you monitor the progress of the production process in the factory and intervene when necessary. You measure, you test, and you ensure quality. Safety comes first in this regard. As a process operator, you work in a team within a self-managing organization. Responsibilities are kept as low as possible on the shop floor. Everyone has their own tasks, but together you are responsible for the entire production process in a factory. Furthermore, you and your team ensure constant high product quality. Additionally, you also perform small maintenance tasks on the equipment. Team spirit is very important because every team member is an indispensable link in the whole. A factory can only run through good cooperation. You work predominantly in 3-shift service.
At Consumables, we have various production and process lines, each with its own specific signature.
- Printheads are made in a cleanroom where high-quality precision tooling is used
- We also make OPCs and Process Drums in a cleanroom with ovens and curing processes
- The toner factory is an environment in which we make toner from raw materials (via sub-steps). This environment is controlled from a control room and involves more traditional process technology
- The silicone environment is more a piece-based production where layers are created on the silicone belts
- The ink environment is a process environment focused on mixing, kneading, and filling ink drums
Who are we looking for?
- We are looking for new colleagues with a completed VAPRO-B education (MBO level 3).
- Or, if you are interested in following the training, it is important that you have an affinity for technology. You would then want to invest in yourself through a multi-year training program
Because we work in self-managing teams, we find it very important that you communicate well and are a true team player. Collaborating means that you do not let your team down, that you are flexible, and that others can always rely on you. You work in a structured manner and are good at following
work instructions. You also find it interesting to know how things work and regularly look for opportunities for improvement.
What you get from us
We offer you a challenging and varied position. In addition, we offer the following conditions
- Shift allowance
- 14% for two shifts and three shifts 112 hours
- 20.5% for 3 shifts 120 hours
- A competitive salary (range €2,650 - €3,450)
- 38 vacation days
- 13th-month bonus (8.6%) until the end of 2026, paid monthly or annually. As of January 1, 2027, the 13th-month bonus will be abolished, which means that from that date on, this bonus will be fully converted into the (scale) salary.
- Holiday allowance (8%)
- Travel allowance
- an enormous range of training and development opportunities
- an interesting lease plan for (e-)bikes
