Accounting Associate

As an Accounting Associate, you ensure that Bouwinvest's financial administration is correct. You process and verify financial data, manage the general ledger, and ensure that transactions are recorded completely, accurately, and timely.

You play an active role in the monthly closing, audits, and real estate reporting. You also provide support for VAT and dividend tax returns and contribute to our cash management. This includes processing and verifying payments and receipts.

Additionally, we like to look together with you at how things can be done smarter. You work in a data-driven manner, using tools such as Power BI and AI, and think along about improving and automating financial processes. In this way, you contribute not only to reliable administration but also to a Finance organization that works increasingly efficiently and data-driven.

A colleague asks you for an administrative process that is not possible within our current guidelines. The colleague needs the information quickly. What do you do?

First, you investigate exactly what the colleague needs and why. Then, you clearly explain why the proposed method is not possible and look for an alternative that does fit within our financial and administrative guidelines.

So, you are happy to help, but at the same time, you safeguard the quality and reliability of our administration. Sometimes this also means that you must be able to say no with a well-founded reason.

You work in the financial heart of an organization that manages billions in real estate investments. Because of this, accounting at Bouwinvest goes beyond just correct bookkeeping.

You will deal with real estate funds, international activities, various administrations, and diverse financial issues. At the same time, you work together with many different colleagues and external parties.

You will also be given the space to design processes more intelligently. Do you see that a report can be more efficient, that data can be better utilized, or that a manual task can be automated? Then we actually like it if you take the initiative in that.

• Mbo or hbo education in a financial field.

• Experience with financial administrations, preferably with SAP or a similar ERP system.

• Knowledge of (in)direct taxes and accounting standards such as IFRS and RJ.

• Excellent knowledge of Excel; experience with Power BI and AI is a plus.

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

• You work independently, accurately, and analytically.
