Internship in Work Preparation and/or Execution of Hydraulic Engineering in Zwolle

Do you want to contribute to a 29-kilometer dike reinforcement during your internship? As a work preparation and/or execution intern in the Zwolle-Deventer region, you will be part of an experienced project team. You will work both indoors and outdoors, receive increasing responsibility, and discover various activities on and around the river.

During this working internship, you will support the work preparation and execution of a large dike reinforcement project. The work on the dike is spread over eight years. You will become acquainted with, among other things, earthmoving, sheet piling, infrastructure, and activities in the floodplains.

You will become part of a team of approximately 30 colleagues. In the beginning, you will receive a lot of guidance, and we will look together at which activities suit your level and learning goals. As your internship progresses, you will receive more responsibility and will guide your own activities increasingly independently.

• Drawing up and elaborating work and execution plans
• Supervising the activities and ordering materials
• Support with calculations and quotes
• Collaborating on the preparation and monitoring of planning, quality, and budget

• You will work on the construction site and support the site manager with daily activities, such as small measurement tasks, checking materials, and monitoring progress.
• Together with the site manager, you will help keep the work running and gain insight into how planning, safety, and quality are monitored in practice.
• You will support preparatory and administrative tasks that belong to the execution of a project.

By shadowing site managers and work preparers, you will learn how a project is carried out from preparation to realization.

Furthermore:

• You are following an mbo or hbo education in the field of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Civil and Water Engineering, or Land and Water Management.

• You are looking for a working internship in work preparation or execution starting from 1 February 2027, or a working internship in execution starting from 1 September 2027.
