• A completed education in Civil Engineering or another relevant field of study;

• At least 2 years of work experience as a Work Preparer, Project Coordinator, or similar position;

Tunnels used daily by thousands of road users cannot simply be shut down for renovation. That requires smart preparation, tight coordination, and an approach that is accurate down to the last detail. And that is exactly where you come in.

As a Work Preparer Tunnel Renovations at Ballast Nedam Infra Technologies, you will work within the South Holland Tunnels Program (PTZ), a multi-year renovation program in which several tunnels in the Rotterdam and South Holland region are being made future-proof. You are part of a team working on complex infrastructure that keeps the Netherlands moving.

In this role, you are the connecting link between design and execution. You ensure that work can be carried out safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. You think ahead, identify risks before they become problems, and ensure that colleagues can build outdoors based on thorough preparation.

No two days are the same. You liaise with site managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers, working on projects where technology, safety, accessibility, and planning continuously converge.

What will you do?

• You prepare civil renovation and maintenance work on tunnels and associated infrastructure;

• You translate designs, contract requirements, and technical documents into an executable plan;

• You draw up work plans, schedules, and phasing, and monitor progress;

• You coordinate with execution regarding materials, equipment, personnel, and logistics;

• You coordinate suppliers and subcontractors and monitor the feasibility of the work;

• You support procurement processes, cost monitoring, and contractual obligations;

• You identify risks, deviations, and optimizations and translate these into concrete solutions;

• You contribute to safe and efficient execution within a complex, operational infrastructure environment.
