Work on the infrastructure of the Netherlands and on your future at Arup!
Arup is an independent, international engineering consultancy, founded on the idea that the built environment can change and improve people's lives. Our mission is therefore not for nothing: 'We shape a better world'. In 2025, we celebrate 25 years of advising our clients in the Netherlands on solving complex design challenges. We do this by utilizing our extensive expertise and our global network of 94 offices in 34 countries. Every day, we work with over 18,000 colleagues on innovative and sustainable projects in the built environment; from urban area development, building design and renovation, to infrastructural challenges and projects in the industry and technology, education, art and culture sectors.
As part of our Infrastructure team, you will contribute to the preservation, improvement, and innovation of the crucial infrastructure of the Netherlands with leading projects such as the replacement and renovation of the Van Brienenoord Bridge and the renewal and expansion of Amsterdam Zuid station. You will be part of a prominent team of structural engineers, working together with Arup colleagues in Europe and beyond.
As a junior structural engineer, you will work on bridges, tunnels, and other civil engineering structures. You will set up finite element models and perform structural calculations. You will apply the latest techniques and contribute to the further digitalization and automation of our analyses and calculations. You will work in multidisciplinary project teams where seniors provide you with intensive guidance. In doing so, you will use the global knowledge available within Arup; you will be part of a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. This is how we stay ahead in a rapidly changing world.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about bridges and civil structures and who uses his/her creativity to develop the best solutions for our clients. Additionally, you meet the following requirements:

At Arup, you are part of an extraordinary collective where individuality is encouraged.
