The role
Are you a curious and entrepreneurial HBO or WO student with an interest in the world of investing, financing, and banking? Do you want to work on impactful projects that matter? Then start as an intern at ABN AMRO MeesPierson and support our relationship managers in everything they do. There, you will not only help our wealthy clients move forward, but you will also learn an enormous amount yourself. Our department focuses on Professionals & Executives (P&E) and Associations & Foundations (V&S).
What you'll do
During this challenging internship, you will support relationship managers so that they can devote more time to clients. You will assist in acquiring new clients, researching leads, and conducting market research.
You have a diverse range of tasks where you will engage in acquisition by preparing brochures and texts, providing aftercare via emails and phone calls, and generating and enriching prospect leads. You will manage the prospect tool and monitor progress with relationship managers. You will perform analyses at the portfolio, mandate, BND, and sales levels and act as a project manager for P&E and V&S projects. For this, you will create presentations of current projects and collaborate on client-specific projects. You will support the organization and execution of events and contribute creative ideas regarding their content. You will deal with file creation and the monitoring of up- and downstream clients. You will summarize important points from investor calls and share them with the team, and create newsletters for V&S clients. Finally, you will help organize and participate in team days and training sessions, which promotes team spirit.
Who are you?
Are you curious enough to investigate, experiment, and learn what is best for the client? Can you also work independently and proactively? Finally, can you communicate easily and are you not afraid to share your opinions and ideas with others? Then we are looking for you!
Furthermore:
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
• Experience with ChatGPT;
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and
project management skills;
• You have an excellent command of the Dutch language;
• You are looking for an internship starting from February 2027 for at least 20 weeks;
• You are available at least 4 days per week.
What do we offer?
We offer you a great internship. The Onboarding Program ensures that you, as a new intern, quickly feel like part of the team. There is plenty of room to learn and grow. In both environments, you can gain a wealth of experience. Naturally, this is under the excellent guidance of your internship supervisor and close colleagues.
During your internship, it is not only about gaining substantive knowledge and practical experience, but you will also actively work on your professional development and expanding your network. CASt, the Club ABN AMRO Interns, organizes both substantive and social (online) events. Additionally, CASt Stage Assistent(e) Relatiemanager ABN AMRO MeesPierson Amsterdam Professionals & Executives en Verenigingen & Stichtingen organizes monthly Go & See's to get acquainted with different departments within ABN AMRO, allowing you to get to know the bank even better. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your hard skills through the ABN AMRO Academy by means of challenging e-learnings. The internship allowance for an HBO or WO internship is €750 per month (based on a 36-hour work week).
