Do you feel that as a calculator you can do more than you are currently showing? And are you looking for an environment where you are challenged with more complex projects, more responsibility, and the space to truly contribute your ideas?
At HulstFlier, you work on projects where your technical insight makes the difference. Not a standard filling-in exercise, but projects in which you must understand installations, make choices, and determine what a smart and feasible approach is. You work on various types of projects, such as utility projects, large apartment complexes, parking garages, offices, industrial environments, and the sustainability of existing buildings. Projects in which you are truly challenged and in which your experience and insight are decisive for the result.
You dive into drawings, specifications, and technical descriptions and translate these into an accurate cost price. In doing so, you look not only at quantities, but especially at how it is actually constructed. You understand how installations are built and where things can go wrong during execution.
As a senior calculator, you naturally take the lead in this. You oversee the whole, set priorities, and make choices that have an impact on the project. You are a substantive sparring partner for project leaders, engineers, and clients. You work with, among others, heat pumps, sustainable systems, ventilation, and other HVAC installations, but also with plumbing and sanitary technology. Additionally, you contribute ideas regarding energy concepts and new solutions. You have the space to be creative in this and, together with clients, to determine what is technically and practically feasible within budget.
You determine how much material, hours, and resources are needed and make conscious choices in this. Which solution is technically the best? What is practically executable? Where are the risks and where are the opportunities? You request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and assess them substantively. You quickly see where something is incorrect or incomplete and ask the right questions.
You work closely with project leaders, engineers, and the E department. It is an interplay between disciplines, in which you play an important role in making the right choices. What you calculate must work in practice. Additionally, you assist in the post-calculation and use those insights to continuously improve. You work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain an overview, even when it becomes complex.
It is precisely in that complexity that you find the challenge. And if you want to grow further in that, for example towards even larger projects or more responsibility within the team, you will be given the space for that as well.
"As a calculator, you are the first to be involved in a project. You turn plans into reality and adjust based on feasibility, both technically and in terms of budget. That is exactly what makes the work challenging."
We are looking for an experienced calculator who knows his craft and is ready for a next step.
Have technical knowledge at mbo+ or hbo level, in the direction of installation technology
Have several years of experience as a calculator within installation technology
Truly understand installations and look beyond just the numbers
Are able to make choices independently and maintain an overview
Takes ownership and shows initiative
Is analytically strong and works accurately
Thinks ahead and contributes creatively to solutions
Likes to collaborate and communicates clearly
You don't have to be perfect, but you do have the drive to continue developing yourself.

HulstFlier is an installation company where craftsmanship and collaboration are central. We work with short lines, value clarity, and ensure that agreements are met.
What people appreciate here is that things simply add up. The basics are well-organized, you can count on each other, and colleagues help each other move forward. For you, this means entering an environment where you quickly find your place and get the space to do your job well and continue to develop yourself.
Your base location is Zwolle, but you also work with colleagues in Elburg. Additionally, working from home is partially possible, provided you have a good workspace there.
You will join a team of calculators (E and WTB), in which you collaborate but also get the space to take on your own role. If you have ambitions to take on more responsibility or a leading role within the team in the long term, there is room for that. We are serious about our work, but there is also room for a joke. Everyone contributes and together we ensure the result.
