Lead Installation Technician W

At Feenstra & Van Goor, you are right in the middle of the project. You install systems yourself, monitor the quality of the work, and support colleagues when they encounter technical challenges.

You work on diverse mechanical installations within residential construction, utility, renovation, and existing buildings. In doing so, you lead an average of about three technicians. Not as a remote manager, but as a craftsman who works alongside them, thinks along, and sets a good example. As a Lead Technician W, you start the day by reviewing the planning and the activities on the project. You distribute the work within the team, coordinate with the project leader, and ensure that everyone can get to work safely and efficiently. Subsequently, you actively participate yourself in the installation of mechanical systems.

Because you are present on the workplace frequently, you quickly see where bottlenecks arise. You support colleagues, monitor quality, and ensure that the work is carried out according to plan. In doing so, you keep an eye not only on the technical result, but also on an efficient execution of the project.

• Installing mechanical installations within residential, utility, renovation, and transformation projects

• Functional direction, guidance, and support of an average of three technicians

• Checking, testing, and handing over your own activities and those of colleagues

• Organizing activities on the construction site and ensuring a safe and tidy working environment

• Identifying deviations, extra and reduced work, and technical points of attention

• Coordinating with clients, project leaders, and other stakeholders regarding the progress of the project

• Monitoring quality, progress, hours, and material usage

• Contributing to the development of less experienced technicians within the team

A good Lead Technician W combines technical knowledge with natural leadership. You enjoy guiding colleagues, but primarily remain a craftsman who understands what is needed on the construction site to successfully complete a project.

You think ahead, take responsibility, and are visibly present on the workplace. Colleagues know how to find you for advice and support, while you ensure that the work is carried out with high quality, safely, and according to plan.

In addition, you bring:

• A technical education at mbo 3 or mbo 4 level in the direction of Installation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or similar

• Experience within mechanical installation technology

• Experience with guiding or directing colleagues on projects

• Technical insight into heating, water, gas, and sanitary installations

• Organizational ability and a practical, planned way of working

• Good communication skills towards colleagues, clients, and project management

• An eye for quality, safety, and an efficient execution of projects
