Estimator/Work Preparer Installation Technology

Are you technically minded, work accurately, and get energy from organizing and preparing technical projects? As a Calculator / Work Preparer for Installation Technology at Borgtechniek, you will combine estimation, work preparation, and customer contact in one versatile role.

You will work on diverse projects within electrical engineering and mechanical installation technology, primarily in the utility sector. From the very first inquiry, you will think along with the customer, perform cost calculations, and prepare quotes. Once the order is received, you ensure that everything is ready for smooth execution.

As a Calculator / Work Preparer for Installation Technology, you are involved in the full preparation process of technical projects. You translate customer requests into clear quotes and ensure that projects start well-prepared technically, financially, and organizationally.

Thanks to your preparation, colleagues know exactly what needs to be done and have the correct materials and information available in a timely manner.

• Inventorying customer requests and technical assignments;

• Preparing cost calculations and estimates for electrical and mechanical installations;

• Creating project schedules after quotes have been approved;

• Ordering materials and supplies for execution;

• Maintaining contact with customers and involved colleagues;

• Monitoring the progress of your activities and reporting independently on projects.

You are someone who likes to maintain an overview, works accurately, and switches easily between different tasks. You think in solutions, communicate clearly, and enjoy working with both technology and people.

In addition, you possess:

• A completed MBO education in the direction of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar;

• Several years of relevant work experience within electrical engineering or mechanical installation technology;

• Technical insight and affinity with estimation and work preparation;

• Good communication skills and experience with customer contact;

• A VCA Basic Safety diploma;

• An independent, flexible, and structured working attitude;

• Driving license B;

• A residential address in East Groningen or the willingness to relocate to this region.

You are also willing to further develop yourself through training and courses.
