Experience with REVIT, AutoCad, and Dialux is a plus. If you do not yet possess this experience, we are happy to teach you how to work with them.
Relevant work experience as a calculator, work preparer, or technician.
A completed MBO-3 or 4 education in electrical engineering.
You think in solutions, have an eye for alternatives, and can switch quickly with colleagues.
You work accurately, consistently, think ahead, and can assess risks well and make them manageable.
You communicate clearly, are strong process-wise, and maintain an overview effortlessly.
You combine a practical attitude with the ability to think conceptually.
You possess technical insight in the field of electrical engineering.
Are you the technician who loves working with numbers AND has a sense for design? As a Calculator & BIM Modeller Electrical Engineering, you combine calculating power with creativity. You make projects feasible, smart, and future-proof - from apartment complexes and houses to commercial buildings. You will be given the space to think along, suggest improvements, and add real value. And you do all of this within a close-knit, loyal, and professional company where we are there 'for each other'.
As a Calculator & BIM Modeller Electrical Engineering, you are the pivot between technology, design, and costs. With your sharp eye, you not only make reliable calculations but also translate them into smart and practical designs. In this role, you spend about three-quarters of your time calculating: you create clear cost estimates based on specifications, drawings, and principles received from the planning coordinator. You dive into the details, filter the right information lightning-fast, and work with 4PS to create a conclusive calculation. In this process, the current price information for technical components is displayed in 4PS. For specific components - such as distribution boards or lightning rods, for example - you request quotes yourself. Thanks to your insight and creativity, you also know how to come up with smart and cost-efficient solutions - because for you, quality and affordability go hand in hand.
In addition, the designer in you comes into play. You create designs in REVIT or AutoCAD, perform lighting calculations in Dialux, carry out cable calculations, and ensure everything fits logically within the architectural design. From main distribution boards to luminaires: you see both the whole and the details. Through your technical insight, you know how to devise alternative solutions that safeguard quality and functionality while reducing the cost price. You also prepare the question rounds during tender processes and, in complex projects, work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Calculator, so that electrical engineering and mechanical engineering connect seamlessly. Is the cost price ready? Then you discuss it with the planning coordinator, and based on this, the selling price is drawn up.
What makes this role so unique? You are the one who prepares the first design and makes the calculation. "It is wonderful to think about the technology, create designs, and figure out how to safeguard quality with smart alternative solutions while still being able to lower the cost price. Solving this puzzle is a beautiful game. Additionally, you truly get the freedom to fulfill your role in a way that suits you," colleague Dick explains enthusiastically.
A gross salary between €3,146 and €4,524 per month;
Great colleagues who stand ready 'for each other' and all want to contribute to the pleasant, (real) family atmosphere;
The possibility to work 4 or 5 days per week;
A role in which you work with and for people. You continuously switch between numbers, technology, and people;
A working environment where talent and quality are valued with plenty of opportunities for growth.
For one another!
With us, you don't just work for a company – you work for a family business. You can feel that in everything. The atmosphere is professional, pleasant, and familiar. “The processes, materials, work clothing, and means of transport are always well-organized. Additionally, we take responsibility, we know each other, and we help each other. Or, as we say ourselves: we are there ‘for each other’”. You notice this supportive attitude not only in how we interact with one another but also in the work. “Because we are there for each other, we can deliver quality and ensure a pleasant working atmosphere – with room for a healthy dose of humor and conviviality. From day one, you feel at home at Van Dam Groep, thanks in part to the personal attention from both colleagues and management. With us, you can be completely yourself and everything is discussable, from training to private situations. It truly feels like one big family,” says colleague Sander.
Moreover, there is a true ‘roll up your sleeves’ culture. You are given the freedom here to make mistakes and learn from them. We actively think along with your development and value talent. Or, as colleague Sander puts it beautifully: “I once started in construction as a VOP technician. Thanks to the growth opportunities, I even had the possibility to become a Calculator and work as a Planning Coordinator Electrical Engineering. In short, much is possible within our company.”
Of course, our primary and secondary employment conditions are well-organized. We would like to list them for you:
25 vacation days and 13 ADV days with full-time employment.
A position for 32 to 40 hours per week. Additionally, working hours can be determined in consultation.
A workplace where you can be yourself and get plenty of room to develop!
Training, education, and growth opportunities. We are happy to facilitate you, so that you can continue to grow.
Company laptop and phone.
8% holiday allowance and a good pension scheme.
You possess a large dose of positive energy and derive pleasure from collaborating, humor, and helping each other.
