Concrete Structures Modeller - Drafter

• Some experience with concrete structures within civil engineering.
• Experience with Tekla Structures for modelling concrete structures, reinforcement models, and detail drawings.
• Able to work with CAD (DWG, DXF) and IFC models (BIM).
• Basic knowledge of structural principles (concrete, steel, foundations) as applied in civil works.
• Basic knowledge of Eurocode 2 (concrete) and Eurocode 3 (steel), sufficient to generate correct drawings.
• Working accurately and having technical drawing insight into concrete details such as corbels, wall details, and penetrations (IDEA StatiCa workflows).
• Familiar with MatrixFrame or Technosoft to understand simple beams/foundations.

We are Unihorn, a nationally operating research, design, and consultancy firm that
provides solutions for issues in Infrastructure and Public Space. Based on the
thought that what is conceived must also be executable and maintainable, we are
the link between research, advice, design, and management. We operate integrally
from our locations in Purmerend, Capelle aan den IJssel, Hengelo, and Breda.

For which department are we looking for you?

Within the Infra Design team, with the work areas of design and surveying &
monitoring, various civil engineering issues are worked out. For these
activities, we have a concrete engineering department which operates from the
branch in Breda. Projects are prepared through to execution and
go through all associated phases. Leading design support as
project manager or design manager within integrated contract forms for our
clients, including the affiliated contracting company of Strukton, plays an important
role here.

As a modeller/drafter, you will work in multidisciplinary project teams on various types of
civil structures (bridges, tunnels, locks, foundations, etc.). You will model the
designs in 3D Building Information Models and guide junior
modellers if necessary. Also, as a mid-level drafter, you are responsible for the independent
development of design drawings for civil engineering structures in concrete and steel,
such as bridges, viaducts, abutments, cofferdams, and sheet piles. You will ensure
the production of high-quality 2D drawings, including detailing, for the purposes of
design, preparation, and execution.
