The role
What you'll do
During this internship, you will be researching a Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP) algorithm. Every night, an algorithm runs to plan our advertisements as efficiently and effectively as possible into the commercial breaks of NPO 1, 2, and 3. Viewership forecasts form an important input for this algorithm, but the realized viewership can deviate from these. At the moment, the MIP algorithm is deterministic. Your task is to investigate if and how the stochasticity in viewership forecasts and realizations can be incorporated into the MIP algorithm.
