Keep the lights on for millions of people! Become a low voltage operations specialist and contribute to a stable and future-proof energy grid.
Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
Work in day shifts: your schedule aligns with your life, so you keep work and private life in perfect balance.
Your work is all about impact: you keep the energy grid stable and contribute to solutions for the future.
Work in a modern environment with colleagues who help, guide, and ensure that you quickly feel at home.
Ensuring the electricity grid keeps working, so that the lights stay on for millions of people. That is your impact as a low voltage operations specialist in day shifts. From the Operations Center in Rotterdam, you keep the energy grid stable and contribute to a grid that is ready for the future. You coordinate activities and faults and switch parts of the grid off and back on safely where necessary.
A day as a low voltage operations specialist:
At the beginning of the day, you discuss with your colleagues which activities are planned for this week and assess whether these can be carried out safely.
You assess the plans, coordinate with colleagues, and give permission for activities on the grid.
Does a fault report come in? Then you ensure rapid coordination with executing colleagues and switch parts of the grid off and back on where necessary, so that customers are without energy for as short a time as possible.
In between, you work on projects to improve work processes and make the grid future-proof.
You end your day by updating registrations and handing over specifics to your colleagues.
All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:
A gross monthly salary of up to € 5,000 (based on 40 hours) in day shifts, 24.5 vacation days, and pension accrual with ABP, where we pay 70% of the premium. After obtaining your certification, you can grow to a maximum of € 5,600 gross per month (based on 40 hours).
On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance). You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to max. 35.5) vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.
An annual € 700 (gross) sustainable employability budget to spend on your own energy, for example, for your sports membership.
On top of that, there is this:
Travel to the office is done with the public transport-free scheme. That is a public transport card that you can also use in your free time. Or with the flexible travel scheme, where you choose, combine, and vary how you travel to work yourself and receive an extra allowance if you come by bicycle.
Your development is central: attending events with colleagues, participating in knowledge sessions, and following training and education. This is how you get the best out of yourself.
You work 100% at our head office in Rotterdam, with modern office facilities and a good working atmosphere.
In hectic situations, you remain calm and maintain an overview. During faults, quick action is required: your stress resistance then provides calm and clear coordination. You know what is happening on the grid and have an eye for safety and cooperation with executing colleagues.
Furthermore, you have:
A completed MBO-level 4 electrical engineering education.
Experience in electrical engineering, for example as a first-class technician, technical specialist, or supervisor, so that you know well what executing colleagues do.
Take the step towards your next challenge
We look forward to meeting you.
This is also good to know:
A live assessment is part of the selection process.
