The role

Royal Swinkels is growing rapidly alongside digital technology. Our breweries and bottling plants are being continuously developed and professionalized. In doing so, Operational Technology (OT) is playing an increasingly large role.

Within the Global OT organization of Royal Swinkels, we are looking for an experienced OT Network & Security Engineer who will play an important role in securing, managing, and optimizing our OT networks and industrial production environments. You will work in an environment where continuity, safety, and reliability are essential for our breweries worldwide.

What you'll do

In this hands-on senior role, you are responsible for configuring OT networks, following up on security incidents from our Managed Service Provider (MSP), and implementing security measures in accordance with IEC 62443 and NIS2 directives. You will work closely with local OT teams, project teams, and external partners.

What you will do

  • Designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing networks and cybersecurity measures within OT environments (workstations, PLCs, servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, network segmentation).

  • Co-authoring and validating high-level and low-level designs in the network domain.

  • Following up on cybersecurity incidents detected by the MSP: analyzing, investigating, prioritizing, and coordinating recovery actions.

  • Configuring and managing OT network equipment such as Siemens, HPE Aruba, and Fortinet, with a focus on security and reliability.

  • Executing secure LAN/WiFi configurations, VLAN layouts, routing, and hardening measures.

  • Troubleshooting network and security problems within production environments.

  • Contributing to the standardization of OT network management, security processes, and documentation.

  • Participating in OT projects such as network renewals, security upgrades, and lifecycle initiatives.

  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call roster if necessary (with appropriate compensation)

  • You understand the OT mindset: working in a production-critical environment where continuity, safety, and reliability always come first.

What we offer you

In addition to a lot of fun and occasionally tasting a delicious beer with your colleagues, you can also count on us for:

  • A good salary including a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% bonus on your annual salary.

  • 30 days of leave, travel expense allowance, and remote work allowance.

  • A good pension scheme and a discount on supplementary health insurance premiums.

  • Discount at more than 600 sports locations in the Netherlands.

  • A significant discount on our products in the “Dare to Drink Different” staff shop.

  • Always opportunities to develop yourself. In addition to learning "on the job," we have a Swinkels Academy, where you can follow all kinds of training and courses.
