The role
Nice to know you

- You will be part of one of Schiphol's most dynamic teams, in a close-knit team where you will learn a lot.
- Of course, you will receive good guidance. Think of a good onboarding into our team and weekly check-ins.
Connecting your world
Be honest: Schiphol is the ultimate place for your work internship, isn't it? A unique environment, more than enough time for your assignment, and plenty of room for your ideas. You can also count on good internship supervision from (among others): Bjorn Postema. Schiphol connects your world. With the best people, we make travel safe and responsible. You contribute to this with your unique talents, such as the way you ask smart questions, listen actively, empathize with others, and remain open to feedback and to new knowledge and information. What will you do as an Intern Competence Coordination Electrotechnics? You will apply your talents to:
- mapping out the current way in which competence is recorded and secured.
- developing a proposal for a clear approach to structurally secure and test competence.
About Schiphol
You probably already know Schiphol: it is one of the best-known companies in the Netherlands. But did you also know that:
... our colleagues between the ages of 18 and 29 are most enthusiastic about the level of flexibility and the working atmosphere?
... we are strengthened every year by more than 100 interns?
... together with 4,200 colleagues, we connect the Netherlands to the rest of the world?
... as an Intern Competence Coordination Electrotechnics, you strengthen the Schiphol Infrastructure business area?
Infrastructure
At Schiphol Infrastructure, we design, build, and manage all physical and digital assets of Schiphol. That is our contribution to Schiphol's ambition to be a high-quality and sustainable airport. With more than 800 colleagues, together with our chain partners, we will deliver more projects in the coming years and catch up on maintenance backlogs. In this way, we improve working conditions through the use of robots and lifting aids, we electrify assets on the airside, and we renew and make crucial parts such as the C-pier, baggage cellar, and climate systems more sustainable. At the same time, we resolve malfunctions and make thoughtful investment choices to prepare our infrastructure for the future.
You've got this
- Period: from February 2027.
- Number of days per week: 4 days per week.
- Level: mbo and hbo level.
- Field of study: Technical Operations, Aviation, Business Administration.
Choose your destination

- For the safety of our travelers and colleagues, we ask you to provide a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag). You may claim the costs for this from us. An AIVD security screening (VGB B-Burgerluchtvaart) also forms part of the process.
