The role

You will be working for the largest regional data center company in the Netherlands. With 13 data centers in the Netherlands, NorthC is the largest regional data center company in the country. For our data centers in the Northern Netherlands, we are specifically looking for Technical Facility Engineers.

In this role, you are co-responsible for the continuity of our data centers and, together with the Technical Facility Manager, you ensure that the data center remains operational by executing and monitoring the correct processes and procedures.

The data centers are equipped with valuable “redundantly implemented” installations for the delivery of security, cooling, and electricity for the purpose of reliable service delivery to our customers.

What you'll do

The activities are mostly maintenance-oriented, such as:

(Light) structural work
Refrigeration technology work (air/ cooling water/ chilled water)
Electrical work (Grid/Emergency, UPS, power supplies, pumps)
Measurement and control technology regarding the above components (temp, pressure, RPM, etc.)

Due to the valuable customer equipment, there is a very clean and controlled working environment within the data rooms where operation and safety must remain guaranteed. Since the major maintenance of sub-installations is carried out by specialist companies, the role is also primarily supervisory and controlling in nature. You must therefore also be able to work well with external contractors.

Tu perfil

You are someone who can collaborate effectively and efficiently and who possesses technical knowledge and experience in the field of E & W installations. You are hands-on and can independently solve, remedy, or repair matters, and you are innovative, flexible, can think in terms of problem-solving, and have an analytical mindset.

In addition, you possess:

MBO thinking and working level and preferably you have an Electro-Technical background (at least certified Stipel)
A good command of the Dutch and English languages
Do you possess a driver's license (B) and do you have your own transport
Can you interpret well and troubleshoot during the on-call shift

It is a plus if you possess certificates such as VCA (full) CDCP or CDCS (you must not have any electronic implants due to working near large transformers and power generators).
