Tax Compliance Manager

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, or a comparable fiscal field.
• Extensive experience within tax compliance practice, in which you have independently handled complex income tax and corporate income tax returns.
• Experience with reviewing work and guiding colleagues in their professional development.
• An accurate and quality-oriented working attitude.
• Numerical insight and the ability to convey complex tax matters in an understandable way.

• An attractive salary between €5,355 and €7,733 depending on your knowledge and experience. This salary is exclusive of holiday allowance and a variable remuneration scheme.

As Tax Compliance Manager at Newtone, you combine in-depth tax expertise with a coaching role within the team. You are responsible for complex tax return files, monitor the quality of the work, and help colleagues to further develop. Although you remain substantively active in practice yourself, you also take a leading role in guiding tax return employees and optimizing processes. You act as a sparring partner for clients and colleagues and ensure that complex tax issues are processed carefully and with high quality.

In this position, the emphasis lies on technical professional activities and on coaching, reviewing, and quality monitoring. You have your own portfolio of complex tax returns and are simultaneously an important point of contact for colleagues within Newtone.

• Independently preparing, reviewing, and finalizing complex income tax and corporate income tax returns.
• Reviewing tax returns and files of colleagues and monitoring fiscal quality.
• Identifying fiscal risks, opportunities, and peculiarities within client files.
• Handling complex correspondence with clients and the Tax Authorities.
• Acting as a technical point of contact for tax return employees regarding substantive issues.
• Guiding, coaching, and supporting junior, medior, and senior tax return employees in their development.
• Monitoring planning, progress, and quality within the tax compliance practice.
• Contributing to an efficient design of work processes and further professionalization of the team.
• Intensively collaborating with tax advisors, accountants, and other disciplines to serve clients optimally.
