Do you have a passion for sales, marketing, and creating new concepts? Are you looking for an internship where you can make a real impact? Then we have the perfect internship for you!

About Mars

At Mars, we have been building brands that people and pets love for more than a century. As a family company, we are active in more than 180 countries worldwide with brands such as M&M'S®, SNICKERS®, TWIX®, PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, SHEBA® and ROYAL CANIN®.

What makes us special? Our culture. We believe that growth begins with our people; therefore, we give you the space to develop yourself, contribute ideas, and take responsibility.

About the internship

As an intern, you will strengthen our dynamic Out-of-Home (OOH) team in Veghel. This team focuses on all channels outside the traditional supermarket shelf. Think of sports canteens, petrol stations, cinemas, holiday parks, catering, and more.

In this combined Marketing & Sales working internship, you will work closely with the entire Out-of-Home team. You will be given the freedom to think out-of-the-box about commercial concepts and to actually execute them. We challenge you to step out of your comfort zone; you will receive all the support needed for your personal and professional development.

What will you do?

Your focus in this internship is supporting the team in increasing the visibility and distribution of our brands. You will receive a varied set of tasks where operational processes and strategic projects perfectly alternate:

  • Content Creation: You will design creative materials such as banners, newsletters, flyers, and Point of Sale (POS) materials (such as displays, stickers, and wobblers). You will work closely with our Brand Marketing department on this.
  • B2B Webshop Management: You will be responsible for managing, updating, and optimizing our B2B sales website (marsverkoop.nl).
  • Wholesaler Activation: You will draft various mailings and forms and handle aftersales. Together with our Activation Specialist, you will sit down with large wholesalers (such as Sligro, Lekkerland, and FOOX) to draw up strong activation plans.
  • Business Development (Project): You will provide general project support, such as exploring new, untapped channels and proactively approaching potential customers to expand our distribution.
  • Creative Campaigns: You will help organize 'attacks' - impactful actions where we bring our (new) products to the attention of the target group in a unique and creative way.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and eager-to-learn intern who is not afraid to show initiative and come up with fresh ideas.

Your profile

  • Education: You are a HBO (University of Applied Sciences) or WO (Research University) student, preferably in a commercial, business administration, or marketing-related field of study. You will remain enrolled throughout the entire internship period.
  • Availability: You are available at least 4 days per week for a working internship of at least 5 months.
  • Language Skills: You possess an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages (spoken and written).
  • Tools & Skills: You have a good basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with or a creative sense for Canva is a big plus!
  • Characteristics: You are proactive, communicative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, professional FMCG environment.

What do we offer you?

An educational and varied internship in a dynamic working environment, where you are truly part of the team. You will be given the space to gain practical experience, learn from professionals, and discover where your talents lie.

In addition, we offer you:

  • An internship allowance of €800 - €900 per 4 weeks
  • Travel and working-from-home allowance
  • Guidance and coaching from experienced professionals
  • And of course: unlimited chocolate at the office

What can you expect after submitting your application?
You apply for this internship via our website by uploading your CV. As soon as we have reviewed your CV and see a possible match, you will receive an invitation for an online interview via HireVue. You can record this digital interview at a time that suits you best. This way, you will get a good impression of us, and we will get to know you better.

After reviewing your interview, we will let you know if we see a good match. If that is the case, we will invite you for a conversation with the team where you might be doing your internship. If it clicks on both sides, we would love to welcome you to our team as an intern!

Sound like something for you? Do you want to discover how marketing and sales work outside the supermarket shelf and think along about how we can make our brands even more visible? Apply now and start your internship at Mars.
