Solution Architect AI & Digital Products

Location: Hoofddorp, Hybrid  

Hours: 32-40 hours

What will you do? 
Within Macaw DX, you will work on innovative digital solutions where AI is an integral part of the product or platform. Whether it concerns smart personalization, predictive analytics, workflow automation, or conversational interfaces: you ensure that AI is not just a gimmick, but adds real value. 

As a Solution Architect AI, you are the technical conscience and the innovator in client projects. You are involved from the pre-sales phase, helping clients sharpen their challenges and translating these into AI-driven solutions that are scalable, secure, and future-proof. Together with the team, you create a technical roadmap and guide the developers during construction. 

Although you do not develop new AI models yourself, you have sufficient knowledge of the AI stack to make smart choices and collaborate with specialists from our data department. You know exactly how to integrate AI into digital products and how to make AI work together with existing IT architectures. 

Additionally, you work together with UX designers to technically secure conversational AI solutions, and you ensure that these are scalable, secure, and easy to expand. 

Specifically, you will:

• Take the lead in the design and architecture of digital products with AI;
• Analyze client questions and translate them into AI-infused digital solutions that are scalable and future-proof;
• Establish a technical roadmap and guide the team in the realization of AI solutions;
• Collaborate with UX designers and developers to technically secure and integrate conversational AI solutions;
• Advise during the pre-sales phase on AI applications and technical feasibility, and assist in drafting proposals;
• Make technical choices and provide guidance regarding the integration of AI services such as Azure AI, OpenAI, or comparable platforms;
• Work closely with our data department to integrate AI models and services in the correct way within digital products;
• Act as a sparring partner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to thought leadership within the AI domain.

Who are you? 
 

You have: 

• 5+ years of experience in a solution architect role within digital product development;
• Experience with AI-infused products, such as personalization engines, chatbots, process automation, predictive solutions, or decision support tools;
• Broad technical knowledge of AI solutions (such as Azure AI, OpenAI, Vertex AI) and integrations with existing platforms;
• A good understanding of machine learning workflows, APIs, cloud architectures, and security aspects;
• Experience with pre-sales: you can fathom client questions, pitch solutions, and accurately assess technical feasibility;
• Experience with low-code / no-code AI integrations (such as Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) is a plus;
• Experience with React.js / Next.js is a plus;
• Knowledge of software architecture principles, API design, and integration patterns;
• Experience with conversational AI: you understand the basic principles of conversational design and can create technical frameworks within which UX designers and developers can collaborate optimally. Think of chatbot/voice solutions based on Azure Bot Framework, Dialogflow, or comparable platforms;
• Good communication skills – you can switch between technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• A commercial and proactive mindset: you see opportunities and know how to convert them into workable solutions.
