The Role
What will you do as an Elastic Security & Observability engineer for our client, Defense?
As an Elastic observability specialist, you will make an important contribution to developing observability solutions for application and infrastructure administrators/developers. While developing these solutions, you will think end-to-end together with the client about the challenge: how to automatically collect data from common data sources, how to store it efficiently in Elasticsearch, how to present this information to the user, and what actions must be taken to convert raw data into actionable information.
Your task is to work on UIs and APIs in Kibana for observability users. You will work together with the UI team and product management to build high-quality, intuitive, and innovative UIs and robust APIs to drive the experience.
Additionally, you will work primarily on IT operations data analytics and convert this into (Elastic) Rules for the benefit of IT operational support. Furthermore, you will support the IT Operations team with further automating the (zero touch) deployment of the IT Operations product suite using Ansible.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing the Security modules within Elastic.
This includes, for example, analyzing data against SIEM rules to detect certain activity in order to establish a higher level of security.
The Kyndryl Netherlands head office is located in the sustainable Pharos building in Hoofddorp. Our Kyndryl Social Club regularly organizes informal and inspiring activities.
What do we offer you?
- You will work together with experienced colleagues
- Various growth opportunities, depending on your experience and interest
- An open and inclusive culture
- The Kyndryl Social Club regularly organizes drinks and other fun activities
- Kyndryl Cares: you can do volunteer work 1 day per year at no cost to you
- The space to flexibly organize your working hours and work from home
- The tools to perform your work: a mobile phone that you can also use privately and the choice between a Macbook or Lenovo laptop
- A monthly internet allowance
- A contribution to your pension: if you work at Kyndryl, you are automatically affiliated with the SPIN pension fund
- Generous arrangements for, for example, partner leave
Our ambition is maximum automation of infrastructure delivery and management. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to develop smart automation solutions that increase operational efficiency and further improve the quality of our services.
