Infrastructure Cloud Architect

• At least 3-5 years of experience as an IT Architect in large IT projects;

• Experience with architecture models and methodologies;

• Technical leader and team player, but also able to work self-sufficiently and independently.

• Eager to learn and adaptive.

• Have a deep understanding of multiple IT domains, including (private) cloud computing, cybersecurity, networks, databases, and software development.

• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.

• Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Security

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

• TOGAF 9 Certification

• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;

• Develop extensive IT architectures that integrate hardware, software, networks, and data management systems.

• Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

• Create detailed documentation for IT architectures and solutions.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and business leaders.

• Analyze complex business problems and design IT solutions to address them.

• Solve technical problems and resolve them across various IT systems.

The Role

You will help our client, the Ministry of Defence, in delivering large-scale IT projects and introducing innovations. As an IT Architect, you are the pivot between the functional needs of the end user and the technical solution of the IT department.

You translate requirements into solutions, considering various alternatives and documenting your choices. For this, you often coordinate with the client, other architects, and product specialists. You are open to the input of others, but understand the importance of working within an architecture and are able to unify different insights. You think in terms of opportunities and solutions, without losing sight of risks and impact.

You support the Domain Architect in the integral design of the IT Services and are responsible for parts of the solution. Your responsibilities consist of:

• Designing and implementing complex IT solutions.

• Documenting the solution.

• Guiding project & support teams during realization.

• Monitoring the integral architecture.

• Communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

We expect you to be innovative and able to create the right designs at a strategic and conceptual level. You also provide sufficient detail to translate these designs into reality.

As your new home base, there are various work locations within Defence where work is performed in the center of the country. Partial working from home is among the possibilities. You will also occasionally work at the Kyndryl Netherlands office in Hoofddorp, where our Kyndryl Social Club regularly organizes informal and inspiring activities.

Important to know: to be allowed to work for Defence, you must possess a Dutch passport and undergo a VGB-B security screening.
