At KLM Component Services, we are transforming the way we support airlines worldwide by improving the availability of aircraft components. Our global supply chain relies every day on timely and reliable insights to optimize operations, increase service levels, and reduce costs.
We are looking for a Change & Transformation Manager who can translate strategic ambitions into tangible results. In this role, you will lead and support complex transformation initiatives within our Operations & Supply Chain domains. This includes identifying and structuring issues, developing and implementing solutions, embedding new ways of working, and achieving sustainable business results.
What will you do?
As a Change & Transformation Manager, your responsibilities include:
- You lead transformation initiatives from start to finish: from problem definition and analysis to designing and implementing solutions, promoting acceptance, and achieving sustainable business results.
- You structure and solve complex business issues. You bring clarity to ambiguous situations, identify underlying causes, develop fact-based solutions, and translate these into concrete actions.
- You develop and implement change approaches, including stakeholder management, communication, knowledge and skill development, training, and activities focused on change readiness, to ensure the successful implementation of new ways of working.
- You translate strategy into execution and help managers and initiative owners turn strategic objectives into targeted initiatives, clear actions, and measurable results.
- You challenge initiative owners and managers in a constructive manner and support them with a practical, hands-on approach. You bring in external perspectives, help remove obstacles, solve bottlenecks, and ensure that progress is maintained.
- You manage the change portfolio of Component Services and ensure clear priorities, effective governance, insight into interdependencies, and an efficient use of the limited change capacity.
- You manage the annual OKR cycle of Component Services, in close alignment with the OKRs of the Air France-KLM Group, and lead the monthly OKR review process together with the management of Component Services.
- You build the change and transformation capacity within Component Services and strengthen it by further developing methodologies, tools, ways of working, and the team's knowledge base. Additionally, you coach colleagues and share best practices between different initiatives.
Where will you land?
You will join the Transformation, Continuous Improvement & Data department within KLM Engineering & Maintenance - Component Services, located in Hangar 14 at Schiphol-Oost. The Change team is responsible for leading and implementing change initiatives from start to finish within various business domains, including repair, logistics, and commercial activities.
Your profile
You are a strong problem solver who knows how to bring stakeholders with diverse interests into alignment. You dare to challenge constructively and create support without depending on formal authority. You communicate clearly and know how to present a convincing story, translating complex topics into a clear and action-oriented narrative.
You feel at home at various levels: from strategic conversations with senior management to practical problem-solving with teams on the shop floor. You possess an entrepreneurial and pragmatic mindset, take ownership, and focus on what is needed to achieve meaningful results, rather than just completing activities.
To be successful in this role, you possess:
- At least five years of experience in change management, transformation management, or consultancy, where you have demonstrably achieved impact;
- A university master's degree or an equivalent academic background;
- Change management is in your DNA. You know how to bring different perspectives together, create support, and embed changes in a way that delivers sustainable results;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are able to structure complex and ambiguous issues, identify underlying causes, develop hypotheses, analyze facts, and translate insights into clear recommendations;
- A strong execution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset. You can translate strategy into action, create and maintain progress, take ownership, challenge the status quo, and find pragmatic solutions with limited guidance;
- Additionally, you have a strong interest in logistics and supply chain and speak Dutch, or are willing to learn the Dutch language;
