The role

Do you want to apply your financial knowledge in a commercial environment? At JDE Peet’s, you will get the space to apply your expertise, think along about improvements, and contribute to well-founded commercial choices. View this vacancy with a start date in January or February 2027.

Start as a Commercial Controller in the Out of Home channel at our office in Utrecht. Within the Finance team of JDE Out of Home, we are looking for a proactive Commercial Controller who enjoys substantive work, works independently, and takes responsibility for reliable analyses and reports.

The Commercial Control team is the financial business partner to the Sales team in calculating customer deals and new propositions, monitoring expenditures, analyzing results, and preparing annual plans and budgets.
As a Commercial Controller, you play an essential role in conducting responsible financial policy within this team. In this role, you report to the Finance Manager Out of Home.

What you'll do

  • You perform financial calculations for tenders and map out the expected revenue, costs, and margins. You test the underlying assumptions, make the impact of different scenarios transparent, and thereby support a well-founded commercial offer.
  • You are a financial sparring partner for Sales. You think along about customer deals and commercial opportunities, assess the financial impact, and advise on choices that contribute to a healthy margin.
  • You manage the monthly reports and analyze the results within various Sales Segments, such as Healthcare & Education, Horeca, and SME. You identify deviations and translate these into clear insights for the Commercial Control team. You also analyze and monitor business cases and innovations.
  • You analyze ad-hoc issues regarding customers, customer segments, and product categories. You translate data into clear conclusions and make it transparent what these mean for the business.

At JDE Peet’s, you get the chance to truly make a difference. You will work hands-on and can leave your mark, while collaborating with a team driven by one common goal. We are an energetic and fast-growing company, focused on what really matters. Here, courage counts: the courage to try new ideas, to think outside the box, and to make an impact.
