HSSEQ Advisor

• A completed education in safety science (e.g., HVK/MVK) or comparable experience.

• Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and experience with practical implementation.

• Strong analytical skills and a proactive work attitude.

• Communication skills to persuade and advise employees and stakeholders.

• Affinity with working in an industrial environment.

• Eager to learn and willing to follow training and courses.

About Evos Amsterdam: Evos Amsterdam is the largest combined storage company in the Port of Amsterdam, consisting of two terminals: East and West. Products are delivered to and from ocean-going vessels and inland vessels, and via pipeline to Schiphol Airport. For this position, you will work for both terminals.

About the department: The HSSEQ department works cross-terminal and distinguishes 3 areas of focus, namely: Process Safety, Environment and Compliance, and Health & Safety and Prevention. Every HSSEQ colleague is expected to delve into the various areas of focus, with each having their own focus. Your specific focus concerns Health & Safety and Prevention.

About the position: Are you an expert in working conditions and safety? As an HSSEQ Advisor specializing in occupational health and safety, you play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment at our terminal in Amsterdam. You contribute to compliance with laws and regulations, optimize safety processes, and increase the safety awareness of employees and contractors. What will you do?

• Implementing, monitoring, and optimizing occupational health and safety policy within the organization.

• Advising on working conditions, safety, and related legislation.

• Organizing and conducting safety observation rounds and awareness sessions.

• Drafting and managing occupational health and safety-related documentation, such as risk inventories and evaluations (RI&E).

• Managing and analyzing incident and accident statistics and reports.

• Supporting Management of Change (MOC's) and Task Risk Analyses (TRA's).

• Participating in internal audits and advising on areas for improvement regarding occupational health and safety.

• Actively contributing to projects from an occupational health and safety perspective and ensuring they comply with safety guidelines.
