The role
You ensure that our import samples are received safely, correctly, and according to the rules. As a Sample Reception & Registration Botanica staff member, you work with crop and leaf samples from countries outside Europe. You identify what arrives, check for unwanted organisms, and process all documents carefully. You work accurately, maintain an overview, and contribute directly to a safe living environment. No two days are the same: you switch between administration, inspection, and collaboration with sample pretreatment in the quarantine lab.
What you'll do
You are responsible for the entire sample reception & registration process. You support customers in sending their samples and manage communication regarding import documents. As soon as a shipment arrives, you identify the contents and check for import restrictions and unwanted organisms. You inspect the samples carefully and record findings. Together with the sample pretreatment department, you ensure the grinding and preparation of leaf samples. You keep the quarantine lab clean and orderly, working closely with the team leader to do so. You switch quickly when there are deviations and actively think along about improvements in the work process.
