Data Engineer

• You have a bachelor's or master's in Technical Business Administration, Business IT & Management, Data Science, Analytics, or similar;

• You have at least 4 years of experience in a similar role and at least 4 years with SQL;

• You are strong in SQL, DAX, dimensional modeling, data vault modeling, version control, and Scrum;

• You communicate excellently in Dutch and English (written and verbal) and have a sharp, critical eye; additionally, you dare to challenge the business;

• You are proactive and result-oriented, with a strong drive to keep improving and developing yourself;

• Plus: 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning models, advanced Power BI knowledge, and experience implementing AI models within an organization.

• A salary between € 4,000 and € 5,400 gross per month (based on knowledge and experience), plus a company laptop and phone, 30 vacation days (based on full-time), 8% holiday allowance, a holiday bonus of € 550 gross, travel allowance, and a good pension scheme;

Den Hartogh's IT department (25 colleagues) works as one team on the growth and objectives of our family business, divided into clusters such as IT Operations, Architecture & Security, and Data Integration & Analytics. As a Data Engineer within that latter cluster, you proactively help the business achieve its business and financial goals, using data in the broadest sense of the word.

Through applications, dashboarding, and ad-hoc analyses, you modernize our data landscape, and there is plenty of room to innovate with predictive & generative AI, Data Science, and Process Automation (RPA). You report directly to the Team Lead Data Integration & Analytics.

• You bridge the gap between organization and processes on one hand and technology on the other;

• As a sparring partner for the business, you elevate management information to a higher level in innovative and complex data projects;

• You maintain and expand our data pipelines in SQL and build a semantic model;

• You perform ad-hoc analyses using SQL (and R) and stimulate continuous improvement through data and process analysis;

• You work closely with data professionals to improve the usability of internal and external data.
