Do you have experience with large diesel engines, marine engines, or heavy mechanical installations?
At Damen Schelde Marine Services, you will work on the maintenance, repair, and complete overhaul of medium- and slow-speed marine diesel engines. In our workshop and on board, you ensure that ships can sail again. We are looking for someone who can service vessels in Vlissingen and Antwerp. The workshop is located in Bergen op Zoom and S'gravendeel.

With us, you are not tied to a single engine brand. You will work on diesel engines from various manufacturers, allowing you to gain broad technical experience and encounter different systems and challenges every time. No two projects are the same.

One week you are overhauling large engine components in our workshop. The next week you are working on board a ship in Rotterdam, Antwerp, or elsewhere in Europe. You will be given a lot of autonomy and will work together with experienced colleagues on challenging service and overhaul projects.

Damen Schelde Marine Services specializes in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine diesel engines. We also supply parts for various brands and types of marine engines. With our technical knowledge and practical approach, we help ship owners keep their vessels operational.

What will you do?

• Performing maintenance and inspections on marine diesel engines
• Disassemble, inspect, and assemble marine engines and engine components
• Perform repairs and complete overhauls
• Performing measurements and recording technical findings
• Analyze and resolve malfunctions
• Work on engines of various brands and manufacturers
• Contribute to projects in the workshop and on board ships
• Advise customers on technical solutions and required maintenance
• Preparing service reports
• Work according to applicable safety and quality standards

We are looking for an experienced technician who can work independently on diesel engines and heavy mechanical installations. For example, you have experience as:

• Service technician marine engines
• Marine diesel engine technician
• Diesel mechanic
• Overhaul technician
• Field Service Engineer
• Marine Service Engineer
• Marine engineer
• Heavy engine technician
• Technician in the maritime or industrial maintenance sector

Experience with medium- or slow-speed marine diesel engines is a strong plus. Have you primarily worked on large diesel engines, generators, industrial engines, or mobile machinery? Even then, we would love to get in touch with you.
