The role

What you'll do

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be involved in:

  • Performing preventive and curative electrotechnical and mechanical maintenance on various installations, cranes, docks, and building-related facilities.
  • Analyzing and resolving electrotechnical faults, from diagnosis to sustainable solution.
  • Checking the operation and safety of electrical installations and facilities according to applicable standards.

The role

As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for keeping our installations, facilities, and buildings operational at our repair yards in Schiedam and the Botlek.

The nature of the work is mechanical, electrical, or facility-related. For example, you will work with modern digital systems, but analog systems are also still very common at our yard. Furthermore, you may also be deployed for work required on board ships, such as installing electrical facilities. Because you serve two yards, you will work on a varied package of tasks and will be challenged to fully utilize your technical insight and manual dexterity. In short, you know a solution for every job and will work motivated to realize it. In this role, you report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work in a team of about 10 people.

  • You have a practical mindset and have experience working with diverse machines, tools, and measuring equipment.
  • You communicate clearly about technical issues and can coordinate effectively with colleagues and external parties.
  • You are familiar with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and possess sufficient command of the Dutch and English languages to understand technical documentation.
