The role

Are you a CNC Turner or Miller who loves machining unique medium-sized to large single-piece workpieces? In this position, your duties consist of independent milling and boring, working primarily with CNC machines. You work independently from drawings; during preparation, you will be in contact with the Foreman or Production Planner.

You use your knowledge and experience to implement improvements to working methods. Additionally, you naturally also inspect the final result of your workpiece. Through your craftsmanship and motivation, you are able to create high-quality products for our customers. Assignments in this position include customers from the maritime sector, the metal industry, and the Municipality of Amsterdam, but you will also make an important contribution to international projects.

We consider it important that you have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. You can read drawings and know the meaning of dimensional, geometric, and flatness tolerances. Furthermore, you are aware of the behavior of various materials during machining. In this position, you will work in two shifts. Key accountabilities

As a CNC Turner or Miller, your daily activities include the following:

Preparing and operating a CNC milling & boring machine based on drawings, CNC programs, instruction, tool, clamping, and machining sheets, and verbal instructions from Foremen and/or the production planner.

Setting, measuring tools, and preparing CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.

Performing simple daily maintenance on machines and tools.

Skills & experience

Sense of responsibility and the ability to work accurately and independently.

At least 2 years of work experience in a comparable role.

Experience with reading drawings and knowledge of dimensional, geometric, and flatness tolerances.

Experience with lifting tools.

Knowledge regarding the behavior of various materials during machining.

What we offer

For this position, the salary is between € 3800 and € 4800 gross per month (based on full-time employment), excluding holiday allowance. We determine the exact grading based on your knowledge and experience. This position falls under the CAO Metaal & Techniek.

Furthermore, you receive 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days per year (based on full-time employment), holiday allowance, travel allowance (23 cents/km), and a good pension scheme.

A one-year contract with a view to permanent employment.
