CNC Vertical Lathe Operator

Flowserve is looking for an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Operator for our machining team in Etten-Leur. In this role, you will manufacture and repair a wide range of parts for pumps, compressors, and turbines using a CNC-controlled vertical lathe.

You will independently prepare, set up, and machine often large and irregularly shaped workpieces according to technical drawings and work instructions.

Your main responsibilities are

• Reading technical drawings, clamping instructions, tool instructions, and production documentation.
• Determining the most efficient machining sequence and clamping method.
• Setting up and operating a 2- or 3-axis CNC-controlled vertical lathe for workpieces with a diameter up to 1,500 mm.
• Retrieving, adjusting, and optimizing CNC programs in collaboration with programmers, and creating programs yourself where necessary.
• Monitoring the machining process and performing intermediate measurements using suitable measuring tools.
• Collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Programming, Industrial Engineering, Quality Control, and Service & Repair.
• Performing first-line machine maintenance according to TPM and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workplace according to 6S.
• Supporting and guiding new colleagues and apprentices in CNC controls and machine operation.

• MBO working and thinking level.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
