Database Automation Engineer

• You work in a solution-oriented manner.
• You have experience with a cloud service, with a preference for AWS (Solutions Architect Associate certificate is a plus).
• Your mindset is that all problems of all development teams are important, but that some are more important than others.
• You have development experience in Python.
• You automate ''everything'', from bootstrap to backup.
• You have experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog.
• You have experience with Oracle 19c databases and Oracle GoldenGate; it is even better if you have an Oracle Database Certification.
• You are familiar with query tuning and the Oracle RDS database architecture, and you know the challenges of Oracle on the AWS platform.
• Knowledge of AWS Aurora or a database on AWS RDS is a bonus.

• Writing a serverless application with Python that performs a backup to S3 every day.
• Optimizing a SQL statement that is causing problems, together with the developer who created it.
• Setting up and configuring auditing in an Oracle database.
• Helping a colleague find a fault in one of our backend systems.
