Linux Engineer

Within our Cloud Service Line, we are looking for several experienced Linux engineers for a project in the eastern part of the country. We are looking for engineers at various levels, both medior and senior. However, if you are that junior with exceptional Linux knowledge, we would also very much like to get in touch with you. You will work in a team setting where you will develop, build, and deliver Linux environments together for the defense industry over longer periods. In doing so, you will come into contact with the most advanced technology that makes a difference worldwide in protecting people.

Setting up a good, stable, and secure Linux environment is a complex and challenging process. Our client works with RedHat Linux and builds systems for the defense industry. These systems are deployed worldwide to protect people. Reliability is therefore the top priority. Your challenge consists of developing and building solutions that suit these systems. These must, of course, meet our client's requirements, but you must also possess sufficient confidence to advise the client if you see opportunities for improvement. You are able to present these improvements to your client with the necessary conviction, but also with the necessary tact. Among other things, what you will do here:

• You will work as a Linux Engineer within a project team led by an Architect and approximately 10 engineers of various experience levels.
• In this role, you will utilize your specific knowledge of RedHat and Ansible.
• You will work from the client locations in Hengelo and Zwolle.
• You work accurately and document your designs in a careful manner.
• You are confident and can hold your own within a project team.

You possess several years of experience working with Linux and specifically with RedHat. Your knowledge and experience provide you with more than enough foundation to carry out your assignments with confidence. For this, you bring the following:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience with Linux
• Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform, Puppet
• Experience with Git, CI/CD
• You have knowledge of scripting such as Python, Bash, or Powershell.
• You have knowledge and/or experience with frameworks such as DevOps and Scrum.
• You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking
