The role

Are you an analytical professional who gets energy from complex analyses, building tools that have real impact, and has a good sense of customer needs and market dynamics?
As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in the new Pricing department. You will translate pricing strategies into concrete commercial proposals using developed models and analyses to make pricing consistent, efficient, and data-driven.

What you'll do

In this role, you are the driving force behind data-driven pricing within ABN AMRO: you will co-develop the models, logic, and tooling required to standardize and professionalize pricing. You will perform analyses based on both internal and external sources to arrive at well-founded price proposals and insights for the business. You will also seek alignment and collaboration with the product-driven pricing teams and their models. Additionally, you will work at the intersection of data analytics and data engineering; within a multidisciplinary team, you can provide specifications for pricing models and develop (parts of) the models themselves. Think of price elasticity models, cost models, conjoint analyses, and discount cascades.
You will analyze customer needs, market developments, and segmentation to establish holistic (customer-driven instead of product-driven) prices. Through your advice on new propositions and price changes, you help us position our products optimally in the market.

Core responsibilities

  • Developing pricing models
  • Setting out carefully formulated assignments within the organization and coordinating with existing product-driven pricing teams
  • The construction of dashboards and tools for price monitoring.
  • Performing market, price, and competitor analyses using statistical models
  • Together with the Commercial Pricing specialist and fellow Pricing Analyst, you will be able to play a connecting and leading role together in the broad Pricing domain
  • Presenting complex data in an understandable way to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improving data quality, definitions, and data flows for pricing.
  • Identifying growth opportunities through data analysis and customer behavior
  • You analyze customer needs, market trends, and segmentation data to create pricing proposals that align with commercial opportunities
  • Advises on price optimizations for new propositions, product adjustments, or price changes. Builds strong business cases for pricing initiatives (value, risk, margins, customer impact)

Your profile

You are analytically strong and have a sharp eye for detail. You are curious, solution-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. You can translate complex data into clear insights and have an affinity with financial markets and customer-centric working. You enjoy both building and advising. Collaborating with different disciplines gives you energy, and you are not afraid to show initiative and contribute innovative ideas.

Ideal experience

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into a concrete commercial story
  • Strong advisory skills and the ability to convert complex analyses into clear recommendations and bring stakeholders along in decision-making
