The role
Updated: 07 July 2026
For one of our clients, we are looking for a freelance HR Manager.
The organization is growing rapidly: from approximately 100 employees now to about 200 employees later this year. They are located in the central Netherlands.
To properly guide that growth, HR must be more robustly structured.
What you'll do
We are looking for a pragmatic HR Manager for 12 to 16 hours per week who helps to:
introduce structure;
create overview;
establish one uniform HR way of working;
make HR processes workable for all BVs;
embed Nmbrs and Daywize well into the daily operations.
The goal is not to build a heavy corporate HR model. The goal is a practical HR foundation that works, is scalable, and helps the organization grow.
HR is currently centrally positioned for the entire group.
The current situation
The group consists of multiple BVs.
There are currently about 100 employees working there.
This is expected to grow towards 200 employees.
HR is supported by Nmbrs and Daywize.
The foundation is present, but not yet sufficiently structured.
Processes are not yet uniform everywhere.
There is a need for more overview, documentation, and clear ways of working.
The current HR responsible needs help in introducing structure. She can handle the daily HR activities, but she cannot set up a fully functioning HR foundation alone.
Therefore, there is a need for someone to stand alongside her, set priorities, and make things work concretely.
HR must grow along with the company.
Without clear structure, there is a risk of:
fragmented processes;
ad-hoc solutions;
too much dependency on individual knowledge;
differences between BVs;
insufficient overview for management and employees.
You help to bring peace.
You map out the current HR situation and translate it into a practical way of working that works for the entire group.
In doing so, you help with:
determining priorities;
simplifying processes;
clarifying roles and responsibilities;
using Nmbrs and Daywize better;
practically supporting the current HR responsible;
making HR scalable for further growth.
We are not looking for a theoretical advisory report, but for someone who builds, arranges, and implements.
Concretely, this means
one uniform HR way of working for all BVs;
clear processes for inflow, outflow, and personnel changes;
better structure around contracts, leave, absenteeism, and files;
clear formats, checklists, and work instructions;
Nmbrs and Daywize logically organized and well used;
more overview in HR administration and personnel information;
better HR management information for management;
an HR responsible who can continue independently with the established structure.
The end goal is an HR organization that brings peace, overview, and professionalism, and that supports the client in the next growth phase.
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager who is practical, structured, and decisive.
You are a good fit if you
create overview quickly;
like to introduce structure;
make processes simple and workable;
have a preference for very direct communication;
have experience with growing organizations;
can switch between management and operations;
can practically assist and relieve someone;
are firm without making it unnecessarily complicated.
You have experience with
HR processes;
personnel administration;
HR systems;
contract management;
absenteeism;
inflow and outflow;
personnel files;
reporting and HR management information.
Experience with Nmbrs and/or Daywize is a strong plus.
We are not looking for a corporate policymaker, but a pragmatic builder. Someone who sees what is needed, takes ownership, and ensures that HR works for the entire group. Someone who can roll up their sleeves and ensures that things get done.
At 10x, we expect talents to be AI-savvy and to continue investing in their AI fluency. We are looking for professionals who use AI practically and responsibly within their field, so that they can support companies faster, smarter, and with more impact in their growth and AI transformation.
-----------------------------------------
NOTE
At 10x, there are two types of opportunities:
1. Traditional freelance missions
These are regular project-based opportunities where the listed mission is the actual project you may work on.
2. AI Lab roles
For AI Lab roles, we scout, review, and approve profiles for access to future project opportunities.
The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable. When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.
Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.
This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.
