Freelance Finance Manager

• have experience as a Senior Finance Professional, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Controller, or similar;

• speak fluent Dutch and good English;

• have experience in coaching or managing finance employees;

• quickly bring structure to figures, processes, and responsibilities;

• communicate clearly and take ownership;

• switch well between strategy, operations, and administration;

• have experience with reporting, cash flow, forecasting, and internal controls;

• are familiar with Visma, or quickly master new financial systems.

Experience with crowdfunding, compliance, governance, or financial regulation is a strong plus.

• preferably have experience with retail, franchise, multi-entity organizations, or growth companies;

The rate requires a realistic match: much experience is nice, but we also understand that this is not an assignment for a heavy corporate rate. We are primarily looking for someone who is strong in substance, works pragmatically, and takes pleasure in building a good finance foundation.

For an entrepreneurial retail company in the South Holland region, we are looking for a pragmatic Freelance Finance Manager or Senior Finance Professional with management experience. Someone who helps to bring more structure, control, and overview to the finance organization.

The organization consists of several retail and franchise activities and is growing rapidly. The foundation is in place, but finance needs further professionalization. There is a need for someone who not only advises, but above all ensures that processes, reports, and working methods truly work in daily operations.

This concerns an assignment of approximately 1 day per week. Much can be filled in flexibly, but it is important that you can be occasionally on location in the South Holland region to connect well with the organization and the people.

You will help the organization to establish the finance function more strongly and scalably. Think of implementing structure, improving processes, and ensuring reliable management information.

Specifically, you will work on, among other things:

• reorganizing and professionalizing the finance organization;

• improving financial processes, administration, and controls;

• setting up clear reports and management information;

• budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management;

• effectively using and further embedding Visma;

• reducing dependency on the external accountant;

• coaching, managing, and engaging finance employees;

• creating more overview across the various companies and activities;

• compliance, documentation, and reporting regarding crowdfunding.

The goal is not a thick theoretical finance plan, but a practical and scalable finance foundation that works.

We are looking for someone senior enough to quickly create overview, but also practical enough to pick up matters themselves and make them work.
