The role

Are you a qualified pharmacy assistant with an eye for quality? And do you want to work in a dynamic, fast-growing environment?

For our pharmacy and distribution location in Hapert, we are looking for a pharmacy assistant (quality assurance variant) to support our managing pharmacist.

What you'll do

  • Representing the managing pharmacist: You have the daily responsibility for pharmaceutical matters on-site in Hapert on behalf of the managing pharmacist. You are the first point of contact on the work floor if there are questions or problems regarding quality or compliance.

  • Managing and monitoring the quality system: This concerns work instructions (SOPs), tracking and resolving deviations, continuously improving processes, managing changes in processes (change control), and performing internal controls (self-inspections).

  • Ensuring that Good Distribution Practice (GDP) rules are followed, insofar as this applies to your role: this concerns medicines that must be stored refrigerated, handling complaints, product recalls, returns, and the destruction of medicines.

  • Being the point of contact for the location when preparing for and supervising audits and inspections.

  • Leading improvement projects in the field of quality, or playing an important role in them. Think of testing and approving new processes or equipment (validations and process qualifications), digitizing quality processes, or other improvements on-site.

  • Acting as backup for the Floor Lead, in consultation with the Logistics Manager: if the Floor Lead is not present, you take over the management of the team in the pharmacy.

  • Coaching and training the local logistics team in the area of GDP and quality procedures, and ensuring a strong quality culture on the work floor.

  • Collaborating closely with the managing pharmacist, the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Floor Lead, and other departments, such as Tech and People & Culture.

Everyone at Wellis actively contributes to building the pharmacy of the future.

About the role

As a pharmacy assistant (quality assurance variant) in our pharmacy and distribution location in Hapert, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Pharmaceutical: You are the first point of contact on-site on behalf of our managing pharmacist for the warehouse/pharmacy from which we send medicines to customers. You therefore represent the medical side of the organization in Hapert.

  • Quality: Additionally, you ensure that the process runs smoothly and safely: think of medication safety, keeping medicines cool during transport and storage (cold chain), following Good Distribution Practice (GDP) rules, and managing work processes in the quality system. Together with the VIM coordinator, you are also the point of contact for handling complaints and performing the quality controls included in the annual plan.

  • Operational: You work at the same level as the Logistics Floor Lead. If they are not present, you take over the management of the warehouse team in Hapert.

This is how we ensure that quality, compliance, and keeping the location running are not dependent on a single person.

Who are you

  • You are someone who takes initiative and can lead a team and get people on board, even without being their formal boss.

  • You are accurate, structured, and adhere well to rules, but you are also practical-minded and tackle matters yourself.

  • You speak fluent Dutch and good English.
