Do you want to take responsibility for challenging industrial projects and simultaneously help build sustainable relationships with clients?
As an Industrial Project Manager, you provide direction to diverse assignments for industrial and private clients. You lead the project team and ensure that agreements are translated into safe and successful execution.
At the same time, you look beyond the current project. You know the client's ambitions and recognize opportunities for future assignments. In this way, you combine project management with entrepreneurship and contribute to the development of our industrial portfolio.
Thanks to our decentralized organization, lines of communication are short. You are given the trust to make choices and have a direct influence on how projects and collaborations are shaped.
Your challenge
As an Industrial Project Manager, you are responsible for the complete project result within the industrial and private market.
From the tender phase onwards, you contribute ideas regarding the approach, risks, opportunities, and feasibility. After the award, you assemble the project team and manage safety, quality, planning, finances, and contractual agreements.
You connect the client, the project team, suppliers, and other involved parties. You provide structure, monitor progress, and ensure that different interests converge into a good project result.
In doing so, you are visible as a leader. You provide direction, create ownership within the team, and encourage colleagues to further develop themselves.
It is precisely the combination of realizing projects, managing teams, and further expanding relationships that makes this position interesting.
This is what you will do
You ensure that people, resources, and interests come together in successful industrial projects. This means, among other things, that you:
Guide projects from the tender phase through to delivery;
Manage safety, quality, planning, and financial results;
Lead multidisciplinary project teams;
Maintain and further expand long-term relationships with clients;
Actively approach (new) clients and translate opportunities into concrete projects;
Manage contractual and commercial objectives;
Build independent and well-collaborating project teams;
Represent KWS to clients and partners.
You largely determine how you organize your projects yourself. In doing so, you are supported by experienced colleagues within KWS and VolkerWessels.
What kind of projects will you work on?
As an experienced project manager, you seek assignments that continue to challenge you intellectually. Within KWS Industry, you work on projects for industrial and private clients, such as:
Infrastructure surrounding production and industrial sites;
Reconstructions of business parks (private market);
Energy and utility-related projects (such as: data centers and battery parks);
Logistical infrastructure;
Projects where different disciplines converge.
From a reconstruction on an active production site to new logistical infrastructure surrounding an industrial location: you work in environments where safety and the continuity of production processes are essential.
The projects vary in size and duration. One moment you are working on a short-term assignment, the next on a multi-year task in which technology, environment, contract management, and stakeholder management converge.
You work with various contract forms, including UAV, UAV-GC, D&C, E&C, and construction teams, but also foreign contract forms. This allows you to continue developing yourself and ensures you are always working on different types of projects and forms of collaboration.
