The opportunity to play a key role in shaping a new, global niche market: autonomous medical robotics
Vitestro, founded in 2017 in Utrecht, is a pioneer in the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). This groundbreaking medical device combines advanced multimodal imaging (near-infrared, ultrasound, and Doppler ultrasound) with robotics and AI to autonomously perform the complete diagnostic blood collection procedure.
By addressing critical healthcare staffing shortages and improving the patient experience, Vitestro is transforming one of the most common and essential medical procedures. With more than 130 team members and rapid growth, we are scaling our impact. Now that we have placed our first devices with customers, we are expanding our team to ensure successful implementation and long-term reliability. At Vitestro, we are committed to continuous innovation and improvement.
Our proactive attitude and passion for tackling the toughest challenges and finding groundbreaking solutions lead to great success: we are growing fast. Are you ready to continue your career in Customer Care?
At Vitestro, we are continuously committed to innovation and improvement.
In the first 18 months of your employment, you will take the first six lighthouse hospitals in the Netherlands and Denmark from signed contract to a robot performing blood collection in a running department. The playbook you write will become the playbook that every location follows thereafter. As (Customer) Implementation & Optimization Manager, you will report to the Global Head of Customer Success and be part of the European Customer Success team. You will work closely with colleagues within the commercial departments to realize a seamless customer experience.
As our Implementation & Optimization Manager, you own the moment when Aletta® becomes part of a hospital's daily routine. You lead customer implementations from start to finish, from the initial workflow workshop through to go-live and the subsequent optimization, and you train the people who will use the device daily. You translate clinical and operational reality into workflows that hold up in a busy blood collection department. Because a robot performing blood collection changes how staff work and how patients experience a visit, you also lead change management on-site and roll out patient information, so that both the team and the people assisted by Aletta are ready before the first collection. From your central position in our European Customer Success team, you involve Sales, Customer Care, Product Management, and R&D in every project, ensuring every new location becomes a reference for the next.
"In your first months, the focus is on building your skills and confidence to lead workflow workshops with new and existing clients. You take ownership of your first client implementation project: you plan and coordinate every phase of the rollout, from kick-off to go-live, with special attention to change management and workflow optimization. You deliver clear, practice-oriented user training for clinical staff and translate the technical functionality of the Aletta® into practical instructions that build competence and confidence on the work floor.
You build strong working relationships within the commercial departments and ensure that customer needs and operational reality are reflected in the way we implement and support our devices. Because you will travel extensively in this role (approximately 70% of your time, primarily in the Netherlands and Denmark), you will become familiar with working on-site at our customers early on."
"After 12 months, you are a permanent part of the Customer Success team. You have successfully delivered our very first blood collection devices to customers in the Netherlands and Denmark and you actively drive workflow and performance optimization at these locations. You have become a trusted point of contact for both customers and internal stakeholders regarding questions about implementation and optimization.
You thrive in a role that combines structured project management with direct customer contact, in an environment where sales, care, product, R&D, and other commercial colleagues work closely together. You enjoy getting hands-on, both with customers and with technical documentation, and you bring a pragmatic can-do mentality to every implementation."
At Vitestro, ownership is not a slogan - it is an expectation. We rely on people to take responsibility, make decisions, and drive the work forward.
We believe that breakthroughs happen when talented people combine dedication, responsibility, and teamwork. That means:
We take initiative instead of waiting for instructions.
We focus on execution and achieving results.
We proactively clear obstacles and help each other to be successful.
We challenge ideas, not people.
We keep learning, improving, and constantly raising the bar.
We celebrate team success over individual heroics.
We move fast, but we do so deliberately. Quality is a top priority for us, because the technology we build ultimately impacts patients and healthcare professionals.
Are you looking for an environment where you can make a significant contribution, take ownership of meaningful work, and be surrounded by highly motivated colleagues? Then we would love to meet you.
Do you think you have what it takes, but you do not meet all the requirements? Apply anyway! We would love to hear more about your interest and experience and see if you are a good fit for Vitestro. No one is a perfect match, and we welcome applications with imperfections. We offer a learning environment in which we grow together!
