Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You have at least an MBO level 3 education in electrotechnics or MTS, supplemented with relevant work experience.

  • You have experience with service, maintenance, and repairs to electrotechnical installations.

  • You can determine for yourself which technical solution is needed.

  • You have good communication skills and can clearly explain to customers what you are doing.

  • You speak and write Dutch well.

  • You have a valid VCA certificate.

  • You have a driver's license B.

The role

Independent service work in the Rotterdam or The Hague region | Own work van | Lots of freedom

"At Beers, you are listened to. Do you want more customer contact, more fault repair work, or perhaps other activities? Not everything is always possible, but I do experience that personal preferences are listened to." - Quincy, Electrical Service Technician

Are you an experienced electrical service technician who enjoys working independently? Then we have a great place for you at Beers. You will start from home with your own work van and head out to our regular clients in the Rotterdam region and sometimes The Hague.

You will primarily work on short service tasks. One time you will perform maintenance on an electrotechnical installation, the next time you will handle a repair or adjustment. No same task for weeks on end, but different situations and different faces every day.

You will be given the space to practice your trade as you are used to. You assess for yourself what is technically necessary and carry out the work independently. Where necessary, you advise the customer, of course in consultation with Beers.

What you'll do

As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be out independently for our regular clients. You will be scheduled for various service and maintenance tasks.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Performing service and maintenance work on electrotechnical installations.

  • Maintenance, repair, and adjustments to electrotechnical installations.

  • Independently assessing which maintenance or repair work is required.

  • Determining which technical solution is needed and subsequently executing it.

  • Working at different customers and at different locations in the region.

  • Maintaining contact with customers and residents during your work.

  • Advising customers when you notice something during your work.

  • Processing your work digitally via your tablet.

Beers works with a digital service process. You receive your work orders digitally and are scheduled at our regular clients. This way, you can focus on what you are good at: delivering high-quality electrotechnical service work.

We are not looking for a technician who has to call back for every decision. We are looking for someone who knows their trade, can work independently, and takes responsibility for their own work.

What we offer you

  • Lots of independence: you determine for yourself how you approach your work technically.

  • You start your workday from home and work mainly in the Rotterdam or The Hague region. In the planning, we take your home address into account as much as possible, so that you do not have to travel unnecessarily.

  • You will receive your own work van and the choice between a business tablet or an allowance for the use of your own smartphone.

  • Regular working hours: you work mainly during the day, without shift work or structural overtime.

  • No mandatory on-call services: you do not work fixed on-call shifts outside of working hours. Would you like to participate occasionally? Then that is negotiable.

  • Your working hours are in consultation, as long as the work allows.

  • Working 4 days or working part-time is negotiable.

  • 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days with full-time employment.

  • Pension via PMT.

  • Training and courses via the VDK Academy.

  • We have the stability and opportunities of VDK Groep, but the short lines and the family feeling of Beers.

  • We regularly organize things together, such as a BBQ, training together, and the annual VDK family party.

  • We start with a temporary contract, with the intention to offer a permanent contract afterwards.

What you bring with you

That is why you bring:

  • You have experience as an electrical service technician and can work independently.

  • You enjoy encountering different customers and situations.

Working at Beers

Beers is part of VDK Groep, but does not feel like a large company. We work with short lines, know each other, and love to roll up our sleeves. At the same time, you have the security and opportunities of a large group behind you.

As a service technician, you will primarily get the space to do your job well. No unnecessary hassle, no same task for days on end, and no mandatory on-call services. However, you will work independently, have regular customers, and plenty of variety.

Does this sound like a place where you can practice your trade well? Then we would love to meet you.
