Do you want to deploy data and software for a physical technology that contributes to more energy-efficient and sustainable greenhouse horticulture?
Thermeleon is developing an innovative Heat Battery for high-tech greenhouses. Our projects yield diverse climate, energy, sensor, and product data. This data forms the basis for reliable analyses, customer insights, and further improvement of our technology.
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst / Software Engineer who combines strong analytical skills with practical software development. You will help build a scalable data and software environment: from data ingestion and quality control to dashboards, analysis processes, and technical tools.
You do not work remotely from the physical product. You work directly with engineers, researchers, and analysts on applications for greenhouse and customer projects.
You design and develop reliable data flows for sensors, technical systems, and other relevant data sources.
You structure the storage, processing, and availability of project and time-series data.
You develop methods to effectively combine data from different systems and formats.
You automate checks, monitoring, and error handling.
You establish practical standards for data quality, documentation, traceability, and version control.
You ensure that data is usable and available for analyses, dashboards, technical evaluations, and product development.
You take into account appropriate access and protection of customer data and internal knowledge.
You develop reusable analysis processes for climate, energy, and product data.
You analyze time series and help explain differences between situations, periods, and projects.
You support the development of reliable comparisons, baselines, and performance calculations.
You translate statistical and technical results into clear insights for engineers and other colleagues.
You review and improve the analyses of the Data Analyst.
You collaborate with Performance and R&D to convert technical methods into reliable analyses.
You determine which analyses can be automated and where substantive interpretation remains necessary.
You build software that enables technical teams to analyze projects faster and more consistently.
You develop practical tools for calculations, scenario analyses, project evaluations, and technical decision-making.
You convert prototypes and research results into reliable, maintainable software.
You integrate relevant internal and external calculation methods into usable applications.
Where relevant, you develop connections with external systems and platforms.
You contribute to both the technical backend and user-friendly interfaces.
You ensure that technical knowledge is applied in software in a safe and manageable way.
You develop internal and customer-oriented dashboards for monitoring and evaluating projects.
You build clear visualizations of climate conditions, energy use, and product performance.
You automate recurring reports while maintaining traceable calculations and assumptions.
You ensure that dashboards and reports are understandable for engineers, growers, and commercial colleagues.
You develop reusable reports for different types of projects and customers.
You monitor that customer-oriented results align with the underlying validated methods.
You make technical choices that suit a growing organization and future scaling.
You introduce practical standards for software development, documentation, testing, and version control.
You mentor the Data Analyst or working student and review more complex analyses and development work.
You help prioritize software and data work based on needs from customer projects, engineering, and product development.
You determine when a quick analysis is sufficient and when a scalable software solution is required.
Where necessary, you collaborate with external specialists.
You help build the broader Data & Software function within Thermeleon.
Like working at the intersection of data analysis and software development.
Want your work to have an impact on a physical product and real customer projects.
Can bring structure to data and systems that are still under development.
Consider both analytical correctness and usability and maintainability to be important.
Like helping less experienced colleagues to develop.
Want to build practical tools that are actually used within projects.
You work closely with the Lead Application & Systems Engineer and the Data Analyst.
The Lead Application & Systems Engineer determines which customer and engineering questions need to be answered.
You translate those questions into appropriate data, analysis, and software solutions.
The Data Analyst supports data preparation, analyses, dashboarding, monitoring, and reporting.
Performance and R&D develop and validate technical methods and underlying knowledge.
You translate these methods into reliable analysis processes and usable software.
Product Development and Hardware provide technical requirements and product information.
Together, you ensure that project data is converted into insights, customer value, and product improvements.
You are responsible for the quality, reliability, and scalability of the data and software implementation. Performance and R&D remain responsible for the substantive validation of technical methods. The Lead Application & Systems Engineer remains responsible for the application in the integrated customer advice.
