What we're looking for

You have a completed MBO level 4 education, preferably Hotel School or a similar education in the direction of service or commerce.
You have 2 to 5 years of work experience at a hotel reception or in a similar position.
You have experience with reservation systems. Knowledge of Shiji is a plus.
You have a good command of the English and German languages, both orally and in contact with guests.
You are willing to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. In principle, you will work one day per weekend or every other weekend a full weekend.
You are flexible and find it pleasant to look together at a work schedule that aligns with the staffing levels and, where possible, your preferences. A more fixed structure in your workdays is negotiable.

The Horeca collective labor agreement (CAO) applies at Theaterhotel Almelo.

The position is classified in job group V. For a full-time employment of 38 hours per week, the salary is approximately € 2,312.34 to € 2,763.47 gross per month. The final classification depends on the applicable CAO provisions and relevant knowledge and experience.

What you'll do

Do you have extensive experience in the hotel industry, are you hospitable and professional, and do you get energy from personal contact with guests? Then we are looking for you!

For our reception, we are looking for an experienced Front Office Employee / Receptionist who knows what high-level hospitality means. You enjoy taking responsibility, can switch gears quickly, and ensure that our guests feel welcome and well cared for from the very first contact.

You handle hotel and restaurant reservations.
You welcome guests and handle check-ins and check-outs.
You inform guests about the hotel, the facilities, and the possibilities.
You handle administrative tasks carefully.
You answer questions from guests and actively think along about suitable solutions.
You contribute to a hospitable, professional, and smoothly organized reception.

You report to the Head of Reception.

How you'll work

You work in rotating shifts. Working on weekends and public holidays is also part of this position. Do you have a need for a somewhat more fixed work structure? Then we would like to discuss the possibilities together.

Profile

We would like to meet a guest-oriented and representative candidate who takes pleasure in providing our guests with a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. You have an eye for luxury and quality, possess good manners, and understand what personal hospitality means.

You keep your head cool when many things happen at once, maintain an overview, and know how to switch effortlessly between different tasks. You are flexible, stress-resistant, creative, and a strong communicator. You take initiative, think along, and enjoy going that extra mile for our guests. Additionally, you have a good command of the Dutch, English, and German languages.
