(Senior) Government Consultant

• A HBO or WO degree.
• 3–5 years of experience as a consultant within the public domain.
• Project or program experience at Defense, JenV, Police, Rijkswaterstaat, or the Tax and Customs Administration.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make complex information clear.
• Affinity with technology and digitalization within the government.
• Experience with stakeholder management in public chains.
• You speak and write Dutch well.

• Experience with procurement, sourcing, or contract management.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, IPMA, Scrum, SAFe, BISL, Lean, or ITIL.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as NORA, DSO, GEMMA, or MARIJ.
• Security awareness or knowledge of BIO, ENSIA, and risk management.
• Experience with data models, dashboards, or data-driven working.

As a consultant, do you want to contribute to societal issues within the public domain, where policy, implementation, and digitalization converge?
Government organizations continuously face complex challenges in the areas of digitalization, chain collaboration, and reliable service delivery. We are looking for (Senior) Consultants who want to apply their advisory skills at organizations that mean a lot to the Netherlands.

About the role
This role is about substance, analysis, and collaboration. You move between policy, execution, and digitalization. You help clients clarify issues and implement improvements that truly work. You work in an environment with multiple interests and many dependencies, and you know how to provide direction within it.

What will you be doing?
You will work on projects and programs within the public domain, often at organizations where continuity and reliability are essential. You help clients with their digital and organizational challenges and ensure that advice is also actionable.

Your main tasks:

• You will collaborate on projects at organizations such as Defense, JenV, Police, Rijkswaterstaat, or the Tax and Customs Administration.
• You analyze issues at the intersection of organization, processes, and digitalization.
• You advise on improvements in collaboration, governance, and execution.
• You support project and program management activities.
• You will actively engage in stakeholder management within public chains.
• You contribute to digitalization and change initiatives.
• You assist with proposals, tenders, and quotes (depending on experience).
• You share knowledge and contribute to the professionalization of our team.

The commercial part is included, but the core remains: substance, collaboration, and results.
