Financial Controller

• A completed HBO degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, or similar.

• Approximately 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience within finance, controlling, or accountancy.

• A good foundation in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and analysis.

• Experience with ERP systems and Excel. Knowledge of Exact Online and/or Power BI is a plus.

• An analytical eye and attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

• A proactive attitude: you see opportunities, take initiative, and get energy from improving things.

From our fragrance factory in Tilburg, we develop smart scent technology with which we surprise shops, hotels, wellness locations, gyms, and international brands. We are growing fast, working internationally, and have great ambitions. But no matter how much we grow: we primarily want to remain Sense. And growth also means: more and more figures, countries, processes, and financial challenges. That is why we are looking for a Financial Controller who ensures that our financial foundation grows just as fast as we do.

As Financial Controller, you ensure that our figures are correct, reliable, and provide insight. You maintain an overview, analyze results, and ensure that our reporting and financial processes grow along with the organization.

You will become part of our Finance Team, which currently consists of three colleagues. A team with short lines, a lot of knowledge, and plenty of room to continue building together. In your role, you will receive a lot of responsibility and work on reliable figures, strong reports, and financial processes that match our growth and international ambitions.

Your work revolves around gaining control over our financial figures and continuously improving the way we work. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing and further professionalizing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

• Preparing (consolidated) financial reports.

• Analyzing financial results and explaining deviations.

• Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

• Monitoring the quality and reliability of our financial administration.

• Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes and internal controls.

• Supporting our international growth and ensuring reliable financial information across different entities.

• Monitoring compliance and relevant financial laws and regulations.

• Providing clear financial insights that allow the organization to move forward.
