Operations Support Specialist

As an Operations Support Specialist, you play an important role in supporting the daily operations within our factory. You combine operational support with data-driven insights and help make the organization more efficient, safer, and future-proof. You support digital workflows, coordinate training, manage documentation, handle artwork-related activities, and support supervisors with planning and administrative processes.

Additionally, you are responsible for the coordination of artwork processes and contribute to sustainable long-term strategies in the areas of training, development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Training, Documentation & Knowledge Development

• Collaborating with the Europlant Training Coordinator to plan and organize training activities.

• Developing, updating, and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and training materials in collaboration with Senior Operators.

• Training operators and Shift Leads in the use of systems, digital tools, and data processes.

• Supporting colleagues during onboarding, development, and the introduction of new working methods and systems.

NPD Product and Material Specifications

• Transferring artwork designs to case printers and pack code printers.

• Entering data into date code printers.

• Managing SKU databases.

• Processing fill weight specifications in Free Weigh.

• Preparing control sheets and checklists for online printing processes.

• Maintaining the artwork database for initial inspections.

• Managing and updating the Data Matrix database for all production lines.

Operational Support & Coordination

• Supporting the development, implementation, and follow-up of SHE-related topics, such as LOTO and minor interventions.

• Preparing and maintaining SHE documentation, including checklists and LOTO cards.

• Maintaining SKU, Data Matrix, and artwork-related databases.

• Acting as the first point of contact for questions regarding RedZone, AG5, document management systems, and planning systems.

• Supporting Shift Leads with long-term planning.

Continuous Improvement (CI)

• Actively contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

• Supporting operators and Shift Leads with training focused on process improvement and performance improvement.

• Stimulating the adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices.

Performance Monitoring & Operational Insights

• Further developing RedZone as the primary performance management system and acting as RedZone Administrator.

• Ensuring that operational data is accurate, complete, and reliable.

• Providing insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

• Identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.

• Supporting digitalization initiatives within the production environment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will work closely with:

• Production Managers, Shift Leads, and Operators.

• Training & Development Lead.

• NPD, Marketing, Design Agencies, Repro Houses, and external printers.

• Supply Chain and Planning.

• IT and Automation teams.

• MBO+/HBO working and thinking level.

• Experience within a production or operations environment.

• Experience with drafting and managing technical documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.

• Good knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and SQL.

• Demonstrable affinity with data analysis, digitalization, and process optimization.

• Experience with managing change and training employees.

• Experience with OEE, MES, SAP (S/4HANA), or similar systems is a plus.

• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills.
