Head of IT & Data

• A completed HBO or WO degree in IT, Business Administration, or a similar field;
• More than 10 years of broad experience within IT;
• Several years of experience in a senior management position;

• Experience with IT transformation, organizational development, and process improvement;
• Experience with budget responsibility and vendor management.

• A gross monthly salary between 9,000 and €11,000 + 8% holiday allowance;

Royal IHC is looking for a Head of IT & Data to lead the further development of our international IT organization and play a central role in the further digitalization of our company.

As Head of IT & Data, you are responsible for the continuity, reliability, and development of our IT landscapes, data organization, and digital services. You translate business priorities into an integrated IT and data strategy and ensure that technology, data, and processes contribute to the strategic objectives of Royal IHC.

You report directly to the CFO and are part of the Leadership Team. From the headquarters in Kinderdijk, you lead an international IT organization with activities in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Croatia. Additionally, you play an important role in the further development of our global delivery capacity, including India.

In this position, you are responsible for three key domains:

• IT Technology & Security
• IT Solutions & Data
• IT Application Management

Where the focus of many IT director roles lies on technology alone, this role combines operational continuity with business partnering, organizational development, data-driven decision-making, and the further integration of artificial intelligence within Royal IHC.

Strategic leadership & further optimization of the Target Operating Model

You are responsible for the further development and optimization of the recently introduced Target Operating Model (TOM) within the international IT organization.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Developing and executing the IT and data roadmap;
• Translating business objectives into concrete IT initiatives and investment proposals;
• Optimizing governance, responsibilities, and decision-making within the existing TOM;
• Realizing further standardization and simplification of processes and systems;
• Managing IT budgets, investments, and vendor relationships;
• Developing teams and leadership within the IT organization.

You hold ultimate responsibility for the reliability, availability, and security of our IT infrastructure.

This includes, among others:

• IT infrastructure and cloud platforms;
• Microsoft Azure;
• Cybersecurity and information security;
• IT Service Management and the Service Desk;
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery;
• Compliance and risk management.

You ensure that our IT environment remains secure, scalable, and future-proof in an international environment.

You translate business needs into modern and integrated IT solutions.

You are responsible for:

• Solution Architecture;
• Integrations between applications;
• Data Management and Data Engineering;
• Reporting and Analytics;
• Data governance and data quality;
• Further development of AI applications within Royal IHC.

You work closely with business stakeholders to improve processes and ensure that data and technology truly add value to the organization.

You are responsible for the management, continuity, and further development of the application landscape of Royal IHC.

In this regard, the following systems play an important role, among others:

• Teamcenter;
• IFS;
• Various supporting business applications.

You will be involved in:

• Prioritizing application roadmaps and backlogs;
• Coordinating maintenance, upgrades, and releases;
• Reducing complexity within the application landscape;
• Vendor management;
• User adoption and support;
• Ensuring knowledge and documentation.

We are looking for an experienced IT leader with a strong combination of technology, business insight, and leadership.

You possess broad knowledge of:

• Enterprise applications;
• Infrastructure and cloud platforms;
• Microsoft Azure;
• Cybersecurity and information security;
• Data & Analytics;
• Integrations;
• IT Service Management;
• Shared-service and offshore delivery models.

Experience within the maritime sector, EPC project organizations, or knowledge of defense-related information security is a strong plus.
