Lead Events & Activation

From a large trade fair to a local activation around our travel agencies: you are the one who ensures everything is set up, correct, and runs smoothly. As Lead Activations & Events, you take operational control of the events and brand activations of Prijsvrij Vakanties and D-reizen.

Check(-in), but what exactly will you be doing?
As Lead Activations & Events, you are responsible for the preparation and operational execution of our trade fairs, events, and brand activations.

In short, you are the one who ensures that everything behind the scenes and on location is correct. You maintain an overview, adjust where necessary, and ensure that everyone takes on his or her role.

You bring all involved parties together, create a clear schedule, and ensure that materials, locations, suppliers, and colleagues are ready at the right moment. And on location? There, you maintain the overview and ensure that our brands are presented exactly as intended.

You work on diverse projects: from large trade fairs and commercial events to local activations around our travel agencies and activations surrounding partnerships with, for example, football clubs. Internal events and employer branding activities can also be part of your agenda.

From the moment an activation becomes concrete, you take operational control. What needs to be arranged and when? Which materials do we need? Who needs to be where? What do we expect from suppliers and other involved parties? You translate the plan into a clear schedule and ensure that everyone knows what needs to happen.

In doing so, you work closely with various internal departments and external partners. You keep lines of communication short, direct involved parties clearly, and monitor deadlines, materials, and all practical matters regarding execution.

On location, you ensure that everything comes together. Not only organizationally, but also visually: you monitor that the appearance of Prijsvrij Vakanties and D-reizen is correct and aligns with our brand identity.

Specifically, you will:

• Coordinating the preparation and operational execution of trade fairs, events, and brand activations;

• Translating plans for events and activations into a concrete operational approach;

• Creating and monitoring clear project and shift schedules;

• Coordinating all operational processes before, during, and after an event or activation;

• Monitoring deadlines, agreements, materials, and practical execution;

• Bringing together internal departments, suppliers, and external partners and managing them operationally;

• Ensuring that everyone knows what is expected of him or her and when;

• Coordinating execution on location and switching gears quickly when something goes differently than planned;

• Ensuring that the appearance at every location aligns with the brand identity of Prijsvrij Vakanties and D-reizen;

• Ensuring that necessary materials are available in a timely manner and end up in the right place;

• Overseeing multiple events and activations simultaneously and bringing structure and priority to them;

• Evaluating after the fact what went well and which learnings we take to a next event or activation.

You (are going to work and) bring:
You are an organizer par excellence. Where others mainly see the end result, you immediately see everything that needs to be arranged to get there. You love structure, get energy from organizing, and also maintain an overview under time pressure.

You switch easily between colleagues, suppliers, and other external partners and are clear about what you need from others. At the same time, you are not someone who coordinates from the sidelines: during an event or activation, you are visibly present and roll up your sleeves yourself when necessary.

In addition, you bring:

• A completed HBO degree in Marketing, Communication, Event Management, or a similar field;

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within events, activations, or project coordination;

• Experience with independently preparing, organizing, and operationally coordinating events and/or activations;

• Strong organizational and project-based skills;

• The ability to oversee multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously;

• A good sense of brand appearance and an eye for detail;

• Experience with managing and coordinating suppliers, partners, and other involved parties;

• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction;

• A proactive and hands-on work attitude: you see what needs to be done and ensure it gets arranged.
