The role

At Butternut Box, we believe dogs deserve better. As a UK-based B Corp, our mission is to deliver health and happiness to dogs and their owners worldwide. We prepare high-quality fresh meals for dogs and deliver them straight to the door. We are growing fast in the Netherlands and are looking for a driven professional to take our events in the Netherlands to the next level.

What you'll do

  • Managing the full event cycle for 200+ events per year: from searching for new events, to contract negotiation, to logistical preparation and evaluation.
  • Active relationship management with external organizers; you are the contact person who ensures the best stand location at the best events by building and maintaining good relationships.
  • Working closely with brand ambassadors; you translate their experiences on the floor into improvements in our stand activations and sales strategy.
  • Analyzing data and event performance to ensure that we deploy our resources effectively for maximum customer acquisition.
  • Designing and managing budgets, and ensuring that all materials and supplies are in the right place at the right time, by coordinating with our freelance drivers and stand builders.
  • Leading challenging projects, such as designing innovative stands and the complex planning for large multi-day events.

👋 Who are you?

  • You have relevant experience in event management, project management, or as a Field Marketing Manager.
  • You are organizationally rock-solid and derive satisfaction from flawless execution.
  • You are highly skilled in communication and approach people easily (or pick up the phone immediately).
  • You are analytically minded and can translate data into clear action points.
  • You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English.
  • You are a team player who gets energy from optimizing processes for a commercial team.
  • You love dogs and are motivated by the idea that your work contributes to more healthy and happy dogs in the Netherlands.

  2. Take home task (1.5 hours): An assignment focused on finding events, attention to detail, and data communication.
  3. Skills Interview (1 hour): An in-depth interview about the role.
  4. Behaviours Interview (1 hour): A conversation about our culture and values + coffee catch up: an informal face-to-face meeting with your manager to see if there is a personal click.

In their own words

About the company & team

In this role, you will be an essential part of the Benelux Sales team. This team focuses entirely on growing Butternut Box by bringing our subscription model directly to the attention of new customers on location. You are the pivot between the strategy in the office and the execution on the floor.

We are looking for someone who gets a lot of energy from organizing and does everything to ensure activations run perfectly down to the smallest detail. You are not afraid to pick up the phone and you are strong in building and maintaining relationships with event organizers. Whether it is a strategic negotiation or a last-minute logistical change, you hold the reins.

While you will sporadically be physically present at an event yourself, you will work closely with our field team of brand ambassadors. You will collect their feedback and insights to make every event a commercial success. You are responsible for the entire project-based side: from stand design to the complex planning of large activations such as the Huishoudbeurs, Animal Event, and the Libelle Zomerweek.

Curious about the scale of our activations? View an impression of our stand at the Huishoudbeurs here, our largest activation in NL.
