What we're looking for

  • In possession of a Vapro B or C diploma in Process Technology;

  • You enjoy working in a 5-shift system and are flexible in the first phase between day shifts and 5-shifts to support projects and improvement initiatives;

  • You have some work experience in a process-technical industrial environment;

  • You are result-oriented, disciplined, and a true team player;

  • You are analytical and quality-oriented;

  • You are proficient in the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;

Nice to have

  • Experience with or interest in Lean concepts such as Open+, 5S, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement is a clear advantage;

  • Experience in a highly regulated environment such as the food or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage;

What you'll do

THE CHALLENGE
Philip Morris is looking for an Operator for the Expanded Tobacco Center (EPC) department. In this department, semi-finished products are produced for our sister companies. Within EPC, we work continuously on safety, quality, efficiency, and process stability. In doing so, we actively use Lean concepts and Open+ to make losses visible, realize improvements, and further strengthen standards. Work is carried out in a 5-shift system. Your mission is to work together with colleagues to ensure efficient, safe, and effective production.

As an Operator, you are responsible for, among other things, the following tasks:

  • Achieving production targets based on efficiency and productivity requirements;

  • The maintenance of installations, optimization of processes, and logistical flows;

  • Resolving disruptions in the production and logistical process;

  • Maintaining contacts with internal stakeholders;

  • Making proposals for the improvement, modification, or simplification of current activities, processes, and systems;

  • Actively contributing to Open+ and Lean initiatives, for example by identifying losses, contributing improvement ideas, and working on a project basis on process improvements;

  • Ensuring optimal material usage, administration, and reporting;

  • Complying with procedures and instructions regarding safety, health, and the environment.
