What we're looking for

  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in transport planning.

  • Experience with transport planning, distribution, and supply chain processes.

  • Leadership or people management experience.

  • Experience with TMS, ERP, and planning systems; experience with SAP R/3 is a plus

  • Knowledge of relevant transport laws and regulations.

  • Excellent command of the Dutch language and professional command of the English language.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of transport planners and be responsible for daily transport planning, particularly for outbound shipments to customers, ICT flow, and export. You will ensure the efficient use of transport resources, monitor the execution of transports, and proactively intervene in the event of disruptions, delays, or capacity issues.

Additionally, you will be involved in optimizing transport planning processes and participating in projects. You will monitor key transport KPIs. Based on analyses, you will identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and translate these into concrete actions to further improve service, efficiency, and costs.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing the transport planning team

  • Coordinating daily transport planning for customers, ICT flow, and export.

  • Monitoring transport execution and responding directly to deviations, delays, and capacity issues.

  • Optimizing transport capacity, route planning, load factor, and transport costs.

  • Monitoring and analyzing transport KPIs and implementing improvement actions.

  • Maintaining operational relationships with carriers and logistics partners.

  • Collaborating with warehouse, customer service, purchasing, and carriers.

  • Contributing to projects focused on process improvement, new distribution channels, and relevant laws and regulations.
